Party decor

We got back yesterday from my dad's 60th birthday getaway, and we had the best time. (Photos coming up!) Now parties are on my mind, and I'm loving the beautiful Shop Sweet Lulu with her stripey straws, pretty cake stands and polka-dot everything. Don't they make you want to throw a party?

I'm still in recovery from my son's first birthday (on April 1st, like your dad!), and his party on Saturday. I figured because he was an April Fool, he needed a joke cake, so I made a birthday cake that looked like a cheeseburger!

it really does but Shop Sweet Lulu's international shipping prices are INSANE.
$35 for a pack of polka dot party bags? I think not...

Isn't it how funny how straws can make a party so festive? And I adore cake stands- they are something I collect and love to show off.

I'm so glad you had a good time! I swear, throw something on a cute cake stand and you get an instant party. Love your bright colored ideas here!

Since I'm pretty sure the sole purpose I was born was to be a housewife and stay at home mom (neither of which is in the near future), I am constantly planning parties I will never throw. These decorations would be perfect for a fun summer back yard party!

Now if only I had a backyard!

Looking at the images I said to myself "Self, you should throw a party." Then I read your text saying "Doesn't this make you want to throw a party?" It's like you are in my brain.

Adore the straws and cupcake wrappers. I'm such a sucker for all things rainbow coloured!

I recently made a prism inspired paper crane mobile for my new niece that's so up this alley...

I hope you had a fantastic time.
For my dad's 60th we had a surprise party, but the biggest shocker was the gift: a shiny, red scooter!
He's been obsessed ever since. He rides it deep into November, and we live in Canada...
