Mother's Day gift

Mother's Day is less than three weeks away, so I wanted to share our gift (my mom is traveling so she won't see it!): We ordered her a framed photo from Pinhole Press, my friends' amazing company. You just upload a snapshot onto their website, and they print, frame and send it right to you or your mom. It's such an easy yet heartfelt gift. Thanks for inventing this, Pinhole! :)

P.S. Photo notepads!

I agree Julia!
Thanks for posting about your friends company because I bought my mom a photo notepad yesterday. I used two photos from this past summer. One of the photos was my brother, sister, and our three childhood friend all squished into our hallway leading to our bedrooms trying to reenact a photo from our childhood. The little photo inside was the five 'siblings', and all you can see is their backs. They are watching fireworks in our backyard. I forgot to say on the cover I had Family written. I can't wait for her to show me how it came out. I hope it makes her smile every time she looks down at it. She can use it to plan my graduation party!

Hello Joanna, some time ago you asked if we had good podcasts to recommend you, and at the time I couldn't think of any you didn't already knew. Recently I came across this awesome podcast called "Miette's Bedtime Story" (www.miettecast.com). She and her occasional guest readers read short stories from different authors, and even though the podcast has 'bedtime story' in the title, the stories are not at all boring. Hope you'll like it!

this is random, but I wanted to tell you that I had read all your pro-breastfeeding posts and saw the pics and was like "yeah, yeah sweet" THEN I gave birth two weeks ago and have had such a struggle getting it all to work right and finally, 3 weeks in, it's actually getting easier and now ALL I want to talk about is breastfeeding. I am more proud of getting this guy to latch than I was when I graduated college or ran a half marathon. tears! So let's talk about breastfeeding more:)

I love this and pinhole press! My mom passed away three years ago so mother's day is always hard for me. But a framed photograph would make a great present to remember her by.

Can I just say how much I <3 <3 <3 LOVE your blog?

I'm a law student in my mid-twenties, and it's easy to get tunnel vision among all the case law and sheer mountain of work. But every time I come back to your blog, I feel as if life has been reaffirmed and somehow, I can always relate to what you write (even if I am nowhere near having kids myself). I enjoy all your posts, from food to fashion to family.

And thanks for a great idea for a Mothers Day gift. Sounds perfect!
