  11. I have to say that I gave out the Garden in a Bags for the holidays a couple years ago, and none of my friends could get them to grow. :(

    I'm getting my mom a beautiful necklace that saves the lives of mothers in developing countries.

  19. Lavender! Of course. I've been racking my brains over a nice little present for my own mother and my mother in law. Thanks for reminding me. They sell those flower bags (perfect for sending them in a parcel) just round the corner.

    And the plate with the cachalot on it is just fabulous. I would like one of those for my own. :)

    Sadly, that lemon squeezer is a dud...I was so happy to buy it because it was so lovely looking. But if you study it, the holes are where the rind goes, not the juicy part, so when you try to squeeze juice, the juice not only has to travel around to the back of the lemon to get through the holes, which doesn't work very well, but the lemon juice also gets all over the outside of the lemon, so unless you've really washed your lemons beforehand, you've got dirty lemon juice. Fail. Poor design.
