A welcome mat is the first thing you see when you come home. It truly welcomes you! This one is really sweet, don't you think? (Anyone know where to find something similar?)P.S. Another funny welcome mat.

I love the one in the picture you posted! I've never seen one like it, but Urban Outfitters seems to always have cute rugs... Perhaps they'd have something like it =)

what a lovely mat to welcome guests into your home! i love the rustic hardwood floors in this photo too!
ReplyDeleteAww, mostly I'm just loving the puppies! :-)
ReplyDeleteNot sure where you could find one like that, but I got one that says "Welcome" in binary code from ThinkGeek. ;-)
This is great! Chiasso had one a while back that said "home" in white letters on a red heart, so it was a heart-shaped doormat. Sadly, it's not available anymore. Please tweet if you find out where this one is! I'd jump on it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this so much! The pooches seal the deal:)
ReplyDeleteI love this! I'm not sure where to find such a cute doormat but it reminded me of this rug from urban outfitters that will make your gusts feels as warm and welcomed!

ReplyDeletestephanie, that is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteYou could make one. Buy a plain mat, black and red spray paint and print out large letters which you could cut into stencils.

ReplyDeletethat is super cute, and i love your DIY solution. i always find that i get really inspired on too many DIY projects and then none of them end up happening...oops. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute! I think it would be fun to paint it directly to the floor - though that may make it useless as a "doormat."

That is an adorable mat!! Love it! x
ReplyDeleteWish I knew where to find one, too! But here is a post from D*S on someone who painted a cute rug over an old one.

With stencils, it just might work to recreate this!
Yes - make it yourself! younghouselove.com has a tutorial on this. Don't be scared, I don't think it would be too bad!
ReplyDeleteLove welcome mats. Is it wrong that I judge people based on their welcome mats? I also try to imagine what a home looks like based on choice of welcome mat.

ReplyDeleteHey Joanna! I loved this post! A welcome mat can serve such a great purpose when inviting guests over for the first time or even for life-long friends that have been to your home a thousand times! I'm a big fan of your blog and am from Grosse Pointe, Michigan (a suburb of Detroit) so we share that background! If you have a chance, please take a look at my blog mollyalone.tumblr.com and let me know what you think! If not, keep doin' what you're doin' because you are fab!

What a lovely post Joanna! And thanks for all the sweet comments about my pups - they're too awesome! Ironically they chewed up my last mat which made me go out and search for a new one ;D
ReplyDeleteLike I mentioned on my blog I randomly stumbled on it at a garden centre in Cape Town and I snatched up the last one. But I'll pop by next week and see if they can maybe give me the name of the supplier ;) Will report back if I'm successful!
Stay awesome friends!
x
