Heart brownies

How sweet is this idea for brownies? (You could do it with letters, too.)

P.S. And thank you so much for all your amazingly honest and touching comments on Monday's post. xoxo

what a sweet idea! you could do pink and white at valentines as well, with a little natural food dye.

these would be perfect for a birthday party if you used the initial of the birthday boy/girl!

Oh how cute :) And pink or blue in the middle would be so cute for a baby shower! I've also made rice krispie treat blocks with a heart shape cut out and brownie in the middle.

I didn't see your post on Monday but yes, especially knowing I was going to be a single parent, I really thought I would do better with a girl. I had girl names picked out since I was about 7. I have 4 sisters...had no idea what to do with a boy. but...I do know I am not the most patient with little girl theatrics and my son is dramatic enough. I still feel badly that he doesn't have a father but we have some close family friends that the husband is like a father figure to him and I love my little one without reason. I can't imagine him being a girl.

I did read a few books and still have a few more about boys - the wonder of boys is one - that I want to read. but, especially, when they are young...I think that loving is the best thing you can do. providing a secure, nurturing, learning environment. especially when young kids are pretty gender neutral (see the big brohaha going on about the little boy in the jcrew catalogue with pink toenails).

the funny thing is, my sister had a girl and wanted another...and had twins, boy and girl. she cried and cried about that. but her son is more like her than her girls, very sensitive and such and she understands him better than her girls so really...I think that is most important...the personality rather than the gender.

awww it looks like a little checkerboard ! of black and white heart shaped brownies! too cute. Love this idea. Maybe you could get a bunny-shaped cookie cutter and do it with bunnies for an Easter gift this weekend. Who wouldn't want THAT in their basket. Is 25 too old to be making easter baskets? dontcare.

I agree, for the most part, but don’t you feel as if the issue is more complex than that?
