1. Go for a bike ride. Unless it's snowing wherever you are, in which case you're excused.2. Watch Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. One of the funniest and most underrated movies of all time.
3. Make a gin cocktail. Gin is for grown-ups--so pass on those froofy drinks with the umbrellas.
4. Eat quality Camembert. Need I say more?
5. Drive a vintage car. Preferably slowly and through the countryside.
6. Dance to ABBA. You know you love them! Don't deny it.
Have a lovely weekend, everybody.

Ooh, a bike ride sounds heavenly. Unfortunately, with the rain and thirty degree temperatures we're having (even if it's not snow!), I don't think that's in the cards for this weekend in Boston!
ReplyDeleteDirty Rotten Scoundrels = Steve Martin at his best.
ReplyDeleteoh yes,Hendricks is my favourite!

love this- and i want that bike!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect! I am especially fond of ingredients 1, 4, 5 & 6! I'd probably replace the gin cocktail with a glass of wine and pair that with #4... haha.

Hi Jan--why would an old car have a particularly large carbon footprint? Carbon dioxide emissions are directly and linearly related to fuel consumption. While an old car might not meet emissions checks (for NOX, CO, particulates, etc.), it likely emits no more carbon dioxide that the car you drive every day.
ReplyDeleteAlso, can we drive it quickly through the countryside?

Absolutely, completely agree about your movie selection. DRS (yes, I just abbreeved it!) has to be Steve Martin's best performance ever.
