Icebreaker tags
Swissmiss came up with these amazing icebreaker tags. To help spark conversations at a party, you give your guests these tags, on which they write down their name and their answer to a quirky question. Then it becomes so much easier for everyone to mingle, since they have a reason to start chatting! (You can choose your own questions and print the tags here.) Isn't that awesome?

cute idea! the quirkier (is that even a word?) questions the better:D
That is such a smart idea!
I love this idea! :) Swissmiss is such a genius - her talk at Alt was SO inspiring. She is now, officially, my hero :)
i love this! so much.
brilliant!!
oh i wish i could have heard it, lillian!! :)
These are great. I would ask, "If you could be whatever you wanted, what would you be?"
what fun! i would love to try these out at our next party.
Hahaha what a great idea! I wish I'd seen this two days ago, I just had a party saturday night. Next time though :)
So awesome!
Brilliant! I will put that to work and would love to mention this on my weekly recap on Sunday (and link to your blog). Sooo worthy of a repeat! Love it!
Joanna- totally unrelated, but i got an email from project wedding today - and your wedding was the featured 'real wedding'! exciting :)
swiss miss is awesome!
oh, wow, that's awesome, k8te! i want to go look at the photos and reminisce :)
love those!
Ooo I should do something like that for my house warming party!! =)
Melanie's Randomness
That is such a cute idea - I still laugh when people wear those "Hello. My name is..." sticker on their shirts, which I have to wear myself quite often for my kids schools to meet new parents. Very cute!
So fun!
so great!
I'm having a donut party at a park in April and I am inviting people from every corner of my life, so these would be perfect!
genius
what a nifty idea!
So cute!
reminds me of elaine's idea of giving everyone in nyc name tags.
Super fun! I would ask guests to fill out new name tags as the party progresses so that you could spark up new convos throughout the night! What a great idea!

for smaller groups, I always love going round table and asking how people's parents met. also, loved the convo at docsnight last week where we all shared what we would've been named had we been born the other gender!
A friend did exactly this at a New Year's Day party. My kids ended up making nametags for people. Oh- it was "What's your Superpower." (Mine is supervision).
This is an amazing idea!! My roommate and I had very different friend groups and at joint dinner parties, we would always subject the two groups to awkward questions like "if you could go into the grocery store and only buy ONE thing, what would it be!?" and then follow that with "...oreos!?! no WAY my friend said milk!! You two should start chatting so the next time you are forced into the store with less than $4 you can still have milk and cookies!!"
Wow... what a great idea! So simple... yet creative & effective. The tags could be a bit prettier though... haha.
this is a great idea. I love it. it would get the party started in the right direction, fun!
Endless ideas for what questions to make my guests answer :)
such an amazing idea!
oh, yes, megan, i loved those question nights!!!
How clever! I'd love this for a party where we have several different groups of friends coming together. Less forced than the awkward introductions I try to make.
brilliant!
the problem is: should one be honest or make up a funny answer?
Am I the only one who thinks this is kinda lame, in a forced-smile-at-a-conference kind of way? Maybe it's because I live in Ireland, where I've _never_ seen an 'icebreaker' used! lol.
Clever!

Brilliant! These beat any of the standard, boring business icebreakers I’ve seen…x
adorable! filed mentally under 'inspiration'. xoxo
Clever!
These are wonderful and clever!
"What's your secret talent?"
Am I the only one who giggled at this?
(I freely admit to being sophomoric.)
This is a nice post and having somewhat info in that.
Ugh, I really don't like ice breakers, any kind, feels so contrived!
I've just seen Emily's comment - Emily I'm in Ireland too! Must be an Irish thing!
SO cool! I love the idea!
So clever!
haha, grace and emily, maybe it is an iceland thing! :) so funny. i love them. i think it's fun to have a jumping off point, just to get the conversation started :)
ooohhh i love conversation starters and conversational pieces, this is too cute!!
Oh I did this once for a party that I threw - My question was, "My favorite Saturday Night Live cast member is..." Mine was Phil Hartman.
Ingenious, great for a gathering!
this is a fun interactive idea!
Love these! Stuff like this really is a hit at a party too
