My lovelies, what are you doing this weekend? Alex and I are going to Upright Citizen's Brigade to see some improv comedy. Amy Poehler sometimes performs, I'm crossing my fingers! Meanwhile, Toby's new thing is to sit around holding his feet, like this guy. :) Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and thank you again for all your sweetness this week. Here are a few great posts from around the web... xoxoLike every other blogger, I'm swooning over Steven Alan's spring lookbook.
Puppy love.
French striped baby pajamas.
Iceland wanderlust.
Grilling a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich? Why didn't we think of that sooner!
Bubbles around the world.
Vintage scribble dress.
Yummy, the Minimalist's 25 favorite recipes.
These make me want to play tennis or smoke.
Cutest duck booties.
Plus, a cute video about finding a roll of film in Brooklyn. (Thanks, tvmom)
P.S. Many lovely readers email me for advice on magazine writing or blogging or starting a business, and I'd love to recommend Oh Joy's services. Joy is warm and wonderful (as you probably know from her blog) and can offer genius expert advice on branding your business or growing your career. I'd definitely recommend her if you'd like a little guidance! xoxo

ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend ***
If you think that grilled PB&J is tasty...have you ever had a PB and banana split sandwich?
ReplyDeleteRecipe:
Take 2 slices bread (buttered)
slather on some peanut butter
then add some sliced strawberries and top with mini semi sweet chocolate chips.
On the second slice, slather on some pineapple preserves (like Smuckers) and top with slices of banana. Add the two together to make a sandwich and grill.
It's incredibly rich, and I usually have to share it but...OH MY....
Best,
Tina
That bear photo gave me such a giggle..Thanks! Toby must look so adorable doing that:) Have a fantastic time during the improv comedy and have a relaxing weekend:) Kisses
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like such a fun weekend! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteLOVE those french striped pajamas, but why the hefty price tag?!
ReplyDeleteOur friends went to visit family for Christmas and the New Year in France and brought us back a lovely pair of pajamas for the new baby and a turtleneck/jumper for our little girl.
Just checked out the Steven Alan look book and the picture you posted above is so fitting for their line this season. It makes me want to have a Parisian summer!! Or carry around a leather tote with fresh flowers cascading out the top every where I go. hehe Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!!! I hope you get to see Amy P! Sounds like a lot of fun!
sending some sunshine from Sydney - enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a chance to write the other day - engulfed in a 'le sigh' inducing funk as well. But I wanted to say that reading your blog is definitely a huge pick me up in the morning and afternoon. Your positivity radiates in each post.
ReplyDelete(And if that doesn't work, I usually call one of my sisters or my best friend and tell them I miss them. Connecting with them makes me realize I always have someone there to help me de-funk and take my mind off of things - or sometimes share in the funk and laugh about it.)
Ps. Have an amazing weekend - a good laugh (Thank you UCB) can often pull you out of anything.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED that stage, my little Isla would lay on our bed for hours just holding her feet and making cute squealing noises. enjoy it while it lasts!
ReplyDeletewe have been to UCB twice and love it every time! Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeletewe're going to a friend's birthday party, then the in laws come into town tomorrow.
