Cup-of-Jo Gift Guide Part #2: Your Hilarious Younger Brother Who Rides a Yellow Motorcycle and Dressed as a Bedbug for Halloween.

A sailboat tee, made in the U.S.A., $25. (Rad tattoo not included.)

A cheeky luggage tag for his next vacation, $26.

Astronaut ice cream for a funny childhood flashback (also, it's weirdly delicious), $3.50.

Pi ice-cube tray, $8.99.

A clever coffeetable book about New York City, as told through Legos, $10.17. (Here's a peek inside.)

Letterpress beer coasters, $10 for four, to impress his guests.

A pocket handkerchief, where he can sweetly store his phone during dinners out with his girlfriend, $15. (Bonus: It actually blocks phone service!)

A wooden tree swing for his backyard, $45. You're never too old!

And, always and forever, the Icelandic Beard Cap, $104.

xoxo

P.S. More gifts for brothers...

It is insane how perfect these gifts are for my little brother who is in the Naval Academy (sailor) getting a degree in aerospace engineering (so he can be an astronaut) thus requiring him to study math all the time (probably including equations with pi) and also requiring him to travel all over the world (making good use of luggage).

These are hysterical! I'm intrigued by that Lego book. Love the luggage tag. I think with the pocket handkerchief, I wouldn't tell him it was blocking service. I would let him put it on vibrate and think he was still monitoring incoming calls. My ass.

Brigitta Ryan {duo} said...

I look forward to your lists every year! thanks again.

Wow I love these! They fit my wannabe-hipster and aerospace engineer brother perfectly. Sidenote, I saw a dude wearing one of those beard hats while I was waiting for the train this afternoon. Love it. I'll be blogging about this tomorrow!

the handkerchief, i could definitely see that being a gift from a girlfriend to a boyfriend, and could be sneaky too if he didn't know that it actually blocked service! ha.

such lovely picks. the book i love, and the luggage tag! so witty.

xo.

Okay, just when I was feeling very meh towards gift guides, this one pops up... which is so spot on for my younger brother it's a little eerie. I could probably buy the entire guide and he'd be thrilled.

Thank you internet (and Joanna), I will never doubt your gift guidance again.

Great gift guide!! All of those gifts were way cool. My brother started University last Fall at Texas A&M, so I picked him up a shirt from a market here in Israel that said "My future is so bright, I gotta wear shades" -- it's so fun shopping for brothers!

Do you have any cool ideas for 3-fold wallets for hip young men? Can't seem to find anything that isn't too mature and professional or totally lame and over the top (immature). Thanks!

I just adore the Viking beard hat! I'm planning on buying my brother one for his birthday. Seeing he is already obsessed with his own (real) beard, I'm sure it would make a great gift! Heather
