My dad taught us S.O.S! And I think of him when watching disaster/alien invasion movies because they always end up busting out Morse code to save the world.
This is the most genius thing I've seen in a while, I love design where there is more when you scratch the surface, makes you feel like your in the cool gang !
Those are pretty sweet. You know what would also be incredible? Necklaces with messages written in braille. If I knew how to (1) write braille, (2) meld silver, I would be on that STAT.
i feel like a morse code necklace is similar to something with chinese characters. you think it says "i love my mom" but it really says "i work for the russians. shoot me on sight"
Joanna, have you ever read Extrememly Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer? It's set in New York so you would love it - and the little boy makes his mom a morse code necklace of the message his day leaves his mom before he dies.
Brilliant! I love how you could give one as a gift and have a little secret word on there, and it would be a special message shared just between the two of you. :)
Joanna, Thank you oh so much for sharing my necklaces on your fabulous blog! SAM's comment makes me so happy, I LOVE Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and often quote that character when I say "I'm inventing" I haven't read it since it came out and have been talking about rereading this year. Amazing. I hope Foer is ok with it. Definitely a compliment from deep inside! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Joanna! kisses, Beki
This reminds me of those Harry Potter coins that tell secret messages (nerdy, I know). But you could totally wear secret messages on your neck and see if anyone figures it out!
