Painted people

Twenty-four-year-old artist Alexa Meade paints portraits on people. She puts acrylic paint directly on live models, so they appear to be two-dimensional paintings of themselves. These blow my mind!

  34. A professor of mine once made this statement about observing artwork. She said "It's not whether you could create the piece, but did you think to do it" What an original idea this is... and so amazing. I definately can not paint like this nor could I have ever had the idea. I love it!!!

  35. I'm inordinately proud because Alexa is from, ta da, here (DC area). The top image is from the Metro...he's on his way to or from the baseball game. I choke up because it reminds me of my grandfather many years ago. You will notice that the man is alone. It's no fun to go to a game alone (though possibly he's meeting someone at the stadium). But probably not.

I see this nearly every day that there's a ball game. (Though not painted:) It's the older baseball fans that get me...basketball, hockey, & football here...there are crowds, too. But it's not as nostalgic (which does come from Greek & means 'ache' or 'yearn' from the past.) And now that I have used my classical training for today, I leave...xo

So great to see these here (& of course on The Senses Five ... and on MMMet).

    Thanks, Joanna.

Shoe hygiene is also important. Use anti-bacterial and anti-odor powders. Shoe deodorants are available in most stores, as well. If applied overnight, these products will take away the unpleasant shoe smell and will kill the bacteria responsible for it.

I've always wanted to learn how to make resin beads and pendants, but never tried it myself until now. This is my very first set of resin beads and resin pendant and for being brand new at this I found that they turned out quite well! I've realized that making resin cabochon is actually quite easy to do, and I plan to make lots more of them to feature in my jewelry projects. Imagine all the fun things you can make, and best of all your resin jewelry will be one-of-a-kind. You can also make your cool unique resin bracelet and sell them unfinished to other jewelry makers, or simply sell the resin pendants with simple necklace cords or chains for instant necklace.
