Oh my goodness, this video is heartbreakingly beautiful: Brooklyn couple Danny and Annie tell the true story of their twenty-seven-year romance, from their first date to Danny's last days with terminal cancer. You have to watch it.

    I remember watching this when it first came out a few weeks ago. It made me BAWL! It hit a little too close to home because 1) my mom had cancer and my dad was nothing short of a gentleman when she was going through radiation and 2) I am getting married next month and I seriously strive for a marriage like this.

    Annie and Danny are such an inspiration for all married couples.

  83. I can't thank you enough for posting this. My husband and I got married two weeks ago, just a week after we lost his mother to cancer (and only a month after she was diagnosed). The two emotions, the amazing love and celebration of being married and the devastating loss of someone we loved so much, has been a strange thing to move through. This was an absolutely beautiful reminder of both.

  102. I had a man and a marriage like Danny & Annie's...He was diagnosed with cancer at 51 yrs old and died less than 1 year later this past January. Thank you for this post. He truly cherished every day with her, and then he cherished reliving those days through stories about their love.

    Well hell I'm a young man of 24.... however I've been with my wife for over 10 years now. When I see this I see a lot of what makes us a good couple but at the same time it makes me think of what the world would be like if I lost her and I don't think I could ever say that I would be able to go about in the same quiet dignity that these two clearly possessed, absolutely inspiring.
