Bathroom art

I love how Vicente Wolf hung this Tina Barney photo over his bathtub. "They're looking at me, I'm looking at them," he says. Cheeky!

  2. Love it! My nana once put a photo of her sister in her bathroom because she thought it'd be funny, haha. There is something about having eyes on you in that room... cheeky, indeed!

  4. I love it! I have some photos and prints that are just PERFECT for my bathrooms but I'm scared to hang them because of the humidity/steam factor. So my bathroom walls are painted amazing colors, but are still bare. :(

  6. My roommate and I have found waterproof ways to include art in our bathroom - Blik makes really unique designs that don't peel off in steam (also they're quite different than standard framed art work), and we actually have old post cards from Spain (both of us have ties there) which we framed in cheap frames from Target (Le Tarjj if you will) and they do a great job of keeping our sentimental pieces in great shape (plus it makes the bathroom like a cultural experience!)

  13. LOVE the bathtub. The photo, however, would freak me out. It's bad enough that my dog insists on being in the bathroom every time I shower, I don't need people staring at me, too. ;-)

  27. I do like it but I have a Dali print of a woman looking out a window with her behind to me. lol The plumber loves it & wanted the name. It's framed well & it's only a print but otherwise, I think I'd keep really good stuff out of a bath. I have a window & so it stays pretty dry in there...

Yes, I'll take the copper bath (& the servants to go with it...a lot of cleaning)

Tina Barney is one of my favourite photographers. Sundance were showing a documentary about her work last year when she was travelling througout Europe snapping pics of various European aristos and BoBos. I still have it in DVR -- great.

grande with an ornate, rich frame -- love it!
it gives a little bit of "over-the-top" to one of the most overlooked rooms (decor-wise) in the house.
