Travel fantasy: Treehotel

Treehotel is a brand new design hotel in northern Sweden, less than an hour from the Arctic Circle. The Mirrorcube room, above, has a double bed and roof deck, and you access it by rope bridge. I can't believe how beautiful it is! Wouldn't you die to stay there?

P.S. More travel fantasies.

  7. angie, don't worry! they've thought of that: "To prevent birds colliding with the tree hotel, a infrared film, visible for birds only, will be laminated into the glass panes."

  55. It looks cool, but after sleeping in an OPEN WINDOW(covered only be cloth) cabin for a few nights during March in Yosemite (it snowed like heck!) I'm done with drafty forest homes. :) It would be nice in summer though.

  56. I would die if I stay there! With my vertigo, no way I sleep in an open treehouse! But it does look very modern, and I like modern, maybe I'll go one day...just to take a look...from underneeth... ;-)

  68. I saw this in some Sweden blogs last year. Man, I'm in love with the whole concept. How I wish there's Treehotel near the the Lincoln area so I don't have to fly that far. I wonder what type of roofing they installed. Some dude commented on the blog that the interior isn't good, but hey, who needs extreme interior when you're surrounded by the beautiful nature? I think it's perfect!
