Family vacation

Hope you had a great weekend! Alex, Toby and I drove up to the Hudson Valley yesterday for our first family vacation. Oh my goodness, it's GORGEOUS up here. (Have you been?) This morning, Toby and I woke up (very) early, walked around our rental house and checked out all the picture frames (his new passion). Then we sat on the porch together and enjoyed that amazing smell of the grass after a storm.

Posting will be light this week, and then we'll be back with photos and a little guide to the Hudson Valley -- seriously, it's so beautiful and charming here. (I've been secretly pretending we live here, and I like it:) Hope you have a great morning! xoxo

If you guys are looking for a day at the farm, you might head to Stone Barns in Tarrytown (I'm there Thursday-Sunday this summer)! I have a hunch Toby might want to see some chickens! xo.

Regis amd Kelly are currently there but I promise we had no idea before planning and I think we will miss them by a day hehe

ps -- I think I may have seen you on TV last night. Food Network's "Kid in a Candy Store" featured an adorable baker in NYC who drives around in her van selling her sweets... dessert nachos, cupcake cones, etc. I'm pretty sure I saw your cameo at the window?! How awesome -- and those treats looked phenomenol! i am still hungry for those nachos...

Hi, Joanna! That looks amazing--screened in porches might be my new favorite thing. Hope you're all having a great time.

You've probably discovered all you need for now, but we found lots of great Hudson tips on Jauntsetter and you might like some of the links on our post (Weekender: Hudson, NY), too. It looks like you might be near Saugerties, though? What a beautiful area!
