Have a wonderful weekend

My darlings, what are you up to this weekend? My mom is visiting and has been making us the most delicious meals, including lamb stew and shrimp with creamy rice (and she's baking cookies today!).     Aww, that video with the little boy getting a hearing device. That is beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me of a picture of a little boy hearing for the first time... his expression does it for me. I can post a link of the picture, when I find it in my bookmarks.

  6. Yeah World Cup!!! Well this weekend I'm installing hardwood floors with my hubby in my NEW CRAFT ROOM! Stoked:-) Also hosting a graduation bbq, softball game, and crafting it up. Hope you have a good one!

  14. I'm excited to be attending a baby shower this weekend! I'm mush when it comes to pregnant women and babies, because that was without doubt the happiest experience in my own life (my daughter is now 23, so I also feel like Rip VanWinkle).

    Enjoy every wonderful moment now... it will keep a smile on your face remembering this time when you need it in the future.

My daughter will be starting her senior year in high school this fall and it seems like yesterday she was just that tiny. I so enjoy reading your posts.   33. i read your blog all the time...my 2 year old deaf daughter got the same hearing device (a cochlear implant) when she was 9 months old. LOVED seeing this video on here-it is truly a miracle that these litle ones can learn to listen and speak.
