Nautical pieces always seem classic to me, and the WASPiness can be tempered when the space is kept casual. (I'm considering this Naval brass bell as a front doorbell replacement. Having grown up by the ocean (I even have a tattoo that means ocean in Arabic) living in land-locked central MA has been rough. I already have plans to turn my house into a (sans) beach house.
