Please Give
Last night, Alex was working late, so I took myself to see the new movie Please Give. It was really entertaining, and the female characters were hilarious, nutty and perfectly drawn. (Plus, Catherine Keener with her raspy voice is one of my all-time girl crushes.) I'd highly recommend it!

We always get movies to the theaters so late here in Sweden! And so many lower-budget films don't even make it to the big screen. Being totally movie obsessed, it's a real problem for me... Time to get out of here and move home!

I have been hearing about this movie but reviews were a bit mixed. I'm going to take your word for it and go see it! I also love Catherine Keene. If you haven't seen Lovely and Amazing you should check it out. Wonderful movie!

I've been wanting to see this! So happy to hear that it's out--and that you'd recommend it. Seems like a rare bit of new interest in a summer of action-packed sequels and remakes!

I just read a really lovely article about Keener not too long ago, though I can't remember where. She seems like not just a fantastic actress but a lovely woman as well. I'll have to put this movie on my list of must sees!!

This looks so funny! We don't go out to movies very often because the theaters are so far away and unbelievably expensive. Perhaps I can persuade the husband to see this one though!
I love the scene where grandma isn't able to blow put the candles - hilarious. Hope it will come to German cinemas soon, too. MUST see.
