My darling readers, what are you doing this weekend? Alex and I having a few friends over for games and chili, made from our favorite recipe. I'm also secretly getting psyched for The Bachelorette, which premieres a week from Monday. (I know.) Have a wonderful weekend, my lovelies, and meanwhile, here are a few great posts from around the web...Indoor swings.
Your own airplane suite? Little kids would love this.
Homemade Snickers bar.
Pretty whale mobile. (Thanks, Elizabeth)
Geometric goodness.
Wish list: Yellow sandals.
Gorgeous handkerchief save-the-date.
These chocolate letters would be perfect for typography nuts (or a dinner party surprise).
What a sweet Mother's day morning.
100% wildflower seed bombs grow anywhere.
A good argument for thick black eyeliner.
These are embroidered? Crikey.
The new Apartment Therapy book is sooo good.
Do cute sweatpants exist? Yes, they're called track pants.
On that note, I'm loving these J. Crew "easy pants."
Remember Gemma and Andy's wedding? Here's their awesome house.
I was honored to do a little interview for Let's Go Ride a Bike. xo
Attention, fashionistas: My friends are giving away these amazing shoes! Enter here.
Plus, five Cup of Jo posts you may have missed:
* American style inspiration.
* NYC rooftop houses.
* Cute families.
* Rain blanket.
* My parents were awesome.

ReplyDeleteThat picture makes me think of that episode of the gilmore girls when laurelai and christopher go to paris with gigi. <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, Joanna!! I love those J.Crew pants you found. Must have them!! Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteHey Joanna,
ReplyDeleteI love the bike interview – how cute do you look? Very, very cute.
I used to love cycling in London, but here in Sydney I find it's too scary. Everyone is used to cars and they are not nice to cyclists. (And there are sooo many hills.) The majority of cyclists here are lycra clad warriors, which is scary in itself!
I'd love to come to NY and take our bubbas for a bike ride one day! xx
PS. I'm all over the home-made snickers bar too. Planning on making one this weekend!
Thanks for your comment on my blog! Your weekend sounds perfect. And I LOOOVE those yellow sandals! If only they were a little bit cheaper! xx
ReplyDeleteAw your bike interview is soooo sweet, I love the way other bikers were so gentlemanly to you, I was worried for you when I first saw that pic on your blog that people would be shoving you out of the way.. go you...
ReplyDeletexxx
I decited to stay at home and work really hard
ReplyDeletefor my second-crafty job, and not going to my hometown (1h distance, where my boyfriend lives).
Lonelyness can be very creative sometimes!
Thnks for sharing so many great links
http://anmarkdesign.blogspot.com/
Really enjoyed the interview. One question though, don't you get scared cycling on the road? Or are there lots of cycle routes. Unfortunately I'm to scared to cycle in London. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the snickers bar recipe-bookmarked that!
ReplyDeleteI have a fun weekend with book club with the girls, a surprise graduation party, and then I get to meet my friend's son who was born last night!
I want a homemade Snickers!
ReplyDeleteI always love your links, Joanna!
After looking at all of your posts from around the web, I am now headed to J Crew to buy both the "track pants" and the "easy pants". I am such a sucker for comfortable chic!

i can't get past the bread truck so funny and delicious looking! i had to go to my favorite local market & restaurant to get a butter croissant and coffee this AM. now... HGTV all day while we pack up our little apartment to move!
ReplyDeletejill, yes, i was nervous biking around the city at first, but now i'm so used to it. you just have to be super alert and defensive when you ride on the streets. and darcie, congrats to your friend!!
ReplyDeleteI am getting excited for Bachelorette too! Although I must admit I prefer the Bachelor. A bunch of catty crazy women put together makes way more interesting entertainment than a group of men! xxSAS
ReplyDeletewhat a great post! i will be sure to check out some of those links. they sound perfect for a sunday afternoon read.
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteHmmm weekend, well I will eventually study for my last finals of my undergraduate years and my sister is coming over to have tea and give me a sweet back-rub (isn't she awesome?). Your blog gives me so much joy and just the right amount of distraction from doing schoolwork so that I feel like I've had a nice break and that I'm refreshed and ready to take on my scholarly duties. To show my gratitude and congratulatude (Shakespeare made up his own words and no one blinks an eye if I say "bedroom") for your wonderful soon-to-be-seen new member of the family, I present you with this adorable video form one of my daily visits, cute overload
ReplyDelete....just look up gravity 101 on cuteoverload.com. I can't figure out this new-fangled...thingie

ReplyDeletelove the pic of the bread truck! Hope you had a great weekend!

I loved your interview for Let's Go Ride A Bike. I've always wanted to become one of those people who bikes everywhere, but despite owning many different bikes over the years... I never liked them. I never felt a connection with my bike. I want to become a biker now that I have a fabulous new bike - my boyfriend lives in an old farmhouse his family has owned for over 100 years and he found this old bike in an old outbuilding. He fixed it up and completely rebuilt it, with much love, and gave it to me for my birthday (I'm a lucky one). I love the styling, the colour he chose, and it makes me feel so feminine and pretty when I ride it. Turns out it's from the 1940s!

Thanks for the inspiration, from an experienced biker-girl to a new one!
Hi Joanna, just wanted to send a quick thank you for the link:) It's been so fun getting to meet so many new people in such a short amount of time. Goodness! Hope you and Alex had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMake sure Alex makes more tasty chili next time!
ReplyDeleteCan I just say that I love these Friday groups best of all?
ReplyDeleteIt's just like a bunch of treats to start our weekend (or week, if you took a mini-vay, like me) off great!
