One of my guy friends used to wear Kiehl's Musk 1921, which is the greatest scent. Luckily, it also works on ladies (deep, rich, tomboy-ish, awesome), so I've been trying it out myself. I have to say, I'm really into it. The sexy scent pairs well with T-shirts and jeans, and you won't be able to stop sniffing your wrist. What type of perfume do you wear, my lovelies?

Clinique Happy Heart-- same one since I was 16. I was drawn to the name but stuck with it because of the light floral scent.
ReplyDeleteI wear Marc Jacobs blush sprayed twice into my st. ives lotion and rub it all over my bod! But the smell of Chloe perfume reminds me of my mama, which I also adore.
ReplyDeleteChance by Chanel, when I can afford it. Being a penniless student doesn't bode well for my perfume collection!
ReplyDeleteI love musky smells on women. I've worn patchouli oil for ten years. I mix it with a little spray of a perfume I have called Paper & Cotton, and it's a perfect mix of sweet and spicy!
ReplyDeleteIf you like Kiehl's Musk, you should also try Tom Ford's Black Orchid. It's super spicy and sultry, like a sexy tomboy! It's the only thing I've worn for the past few years.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully my favorite is a little moroccan oil in my hair. It lasts all day and doesn't diffuse into a grandma scent the way my marc jacobs used to.
ReplyDeleteoil in your hair is such a smart idea! then people really smell it when they hug you :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I love this -- I think I can just imagine the fabulous scent!
ReplyDeleteI wear Chanel Chance. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love Clinique Happy Heart as well, and my boyfriend always say I smell good when I wear it!
ReplyDeletei am on my third bottle of lovely. that says a lot considering i had never actually finished a bottle of perfume before. the scent is subtle and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI wear Onyx fragrance oil by Sage Machado. I absolutely love it. It has a musky scent with a mix of vanilla, tobacco and coconut.
ReplyDeleteI mix my own out of essential oils. I really like ylang, ylang and geranium. If I'm not wearing that I also love Aveda's all spirit blend.
ReplyDeletei wear "be delicious"/dkny and i love love love it..
ReplyDeleteI wear a pure vanilla-scented French perfume - but the supplier I bought it from doesn't carry it anymore and I'm on my last spritz! THANK YOU for introducing me to the Kiehl's product, I see they have vanilla (so hard to find vanilla that doesn't smell like bad vodka).
ReplyDeleteI go back and forth, but Fracas by Robert Piguet is my go-to scent. It's the perfect floral. Can't wait to try this Kiehl's musk! xoxo katie
ReplyDeleteI wore Hermes 'Eau de Merveilles' for a while, which - fun fact - is the only women's fragrance with musk in it! You'd probably love it!
ReplyDeletethat oil in the hair IS a great idea... hm.
ReplyDeletenext on my list is gucci flora... perfect for summer, i think!
Narcisco Rodriguez! It also has some musk in it, which I love.
ReplyDeleteKiehl's musk is what I wear, too. It's never too cloying and doesn't give me a headache.
ReplyDeleteI think must is a beautiful scent! You should also check out LA Woman by Rock Beauty, its got a musk base and is just great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up about this Kiehl's product.
ohh and finally, I do like the oils, they last longer and are a little lighter than normal perfume.
hope you're doing well.
Alina

Kiehls' musk oil is a classic and smells heavenly. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI just started wearing Angel by Thierry Mulger. It's nice, but I usually like cleaner, fresher scents. One that I really love is Lacoste's Essential. It's a men's fragrance, but I just love the way it smells! It's not overtly masculine, and it smells terrific.
ReplyDeleteAngelique Lilas by Aqua Allegoria
ReplyDeleteIt's like Summer in a bottle to me!
I will be sure to try this one! I am in love with "Pretty" by Elizibeth Arden. I get so many compliments and it is funny because they all say to me, "wow your perfume smells pretty, what is it?" and I say with a laugh, "pretty!"
ReplyDeleteI also mix it sometimes with the fragrance I bought for my wedding day, Jean Paul Gaultier's Madame. It is sexy and a bit heavier and is heavenly when mixed with Pretty's light scent!
I got into perfume oils a few years ago and have a lot of different scents from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (as well as a couple of oils from Kuwait that my ex brought back). BPAL has a beautiful range of scents that complement my natural skin oils. http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/
ReplyDeleteI agree with moroccan oil! I am ob. sessed. pair it with the kiehl's musk, hermes merveilles elixir or creed silver mountain water.
ReplyDeleteNina Ricci's Premier Jour. I've worn it for the last 8 years (since I turned 18) and without fail I always get compliments about it, mostly from men. I've caught a few following me!
ReplyDeleteI like patchouli oil, or Banana Republic Classic which I've been wearing since 8th grade
ReplyDeletethis post speaks to me, i've always been a fan of wearing musks scents! i love "lovely" by sjp and "secret 88" by victoria's secret, a lovely, musky vanilla-y perfume that was discontinued a while ago (but you can still find it on the internets). i also love colognes, like burberry for men, but i usually mix these with a really light floral so i don't smell entirely like a dude.
ReplyDeleteCat deluxe by Naomi Campbell.
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing too fancy but The Body Shop do a great range in simple pure scents - I particularly love the vanilla, but also the coconut and the cinnamon. I sound like a walking cupcake (mmm!)
ReplyDeletefracas!
ReplyDelete"Ore" by Zents. Sexy, alluring, slightly masculine. Love it. I've actually tried using other fragrances, and I always go back to it... xo.
ReplyDeletewhite musk oil or white musk by jovan.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip, will have to try it in-store. Fun to read what other people like, too! Mine is CK Eternity, which I love, love, love :)
ReplyDeleteFlowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf... quite sweet but I adore it!
ReplyDeletemy grandmother used to wear a musk and my mom started to recently - it's such a wonderful comforting scent! i'm a chanel chance girl though :)
ReplyDeletemy grandmother used to wear a musk and my mom started to recently - it's such a wonderful comforting scent! i'm a chanel chance girl though :)
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of musk - I'll have to go test this one out!
ReplyDeleteI generally wear amber if I'm going out in the evening - or, oldie but goody, YSL's Opium - I'll always love it!!
Lolita Lempicka but I love to use my daughter's baby perfume.
ReplyDeleteOK 4 U2 by Calvin Klein is the best. It's a muted and clean scent, so it's perfect for everyday. I just wish it didn't have such a stupid name.
ReplyDeletei wear clinique happy heart. my dad got it for me for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteCool idea :) I am in love with and just bought my first bottle of Miss Dior Cherie. My favorite!
ReplyDeleteI have Kiehl's Original Musk...sometimes I love it, sometimes it is way too strong. Also, I've found that girls love it on me, but my boyfriend isn't a fan...
ReplyDeleteMy signature scent is actually Gap's Om, but it's loooooong since discontinued, so I have to find it on eBay...
I also love that Egyptian Goddess roll-on oil, but it's always sold out whenever I remember to buy some!
Coco Mademoiselle ~ and I have it in oil form as well, just a dab in the hair, and my BF loves it... I want to smell Kiehls though... where do you get it? :)
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing Gucci's "Envy" since my last trip to Paris when I was first being introduced to a friend of a friend and she smelled so amazing I had to ask her what she was wearing...and it was Envy!
ReplyDeleteI usually wear Fresh Pomegranate Anise -- I love clean, fruity scents. I also like Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey.
ReplyDeleteI actually have a bottle of Parisenne by YSL. Maybe you've heard of it. :)
ReplyDeleteI am also a HUGE fan of scents with musky undertones. Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf and Coco Mademoiselle are my personal favs. A little goes a long way...such sexy fragrances!
ReplyDeleteA thank you present from an artist I worked with: Olene from Dyptique (a candle brand). A mix of Jasmin and orange blossom... Divine!
ReplyDeleteI wear a L'Occitane scent that has since been discontinued, but it's basically a lemon and honey perfume that makes me smell like the work of bees. I love it.
ReplyDeletePlain ol' rose for everyday, Tom Ford for special ocassions.
ReplyDeletei wear michael kors. my favorite floral scent is gardenia, and that fragrance is just filled with gardenia. i also like the musky, sexy emporio armani "she." otherwise, i'm a big fan of tea tree oil or bergamot.
ReplyDeleteha! this so reminds me of my mom. she's been an old spice (the classic in that funny bottle) wearer for years and years. she always smells so spicy and good.
ReplyDeleteI love musk scents, I've been meaning to try this Kiehl's version forever. I've heard nothing but raves about it. I'm really particular about scent, it has to satisfy about forty picky requirements. I love Burberry Classic, it's lovely and warm, a little bit fruity but not in a sweet cloying way. Currently though I'm obsessed with Morrocanoil products for hair, the oil and the conditioner. They smell heavenly I wish I could use them on my whole body!! It is also a warm, musky, perhaps a bit spicy scent.
ReplyDeleteI wear Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, because I thought it smelled colorful and sexy. And now my sisters and sister-in-law all wear it too! I wonder if I changed my perfume if they would too? If I am like their perfume leader. I will take this job seriously.
ReplyDeleteI wear Ma Dame by Jean-Paul Gaultier. It's wonderful with its Asian floral and sandalwood notes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big perfume wearer, but I used to wear White Musk oil from The Body Shop in high school. I still love the smell.
ReplyDeleteCoco Chanel Mademoiselle. Pricey but worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteIn love with Armani Code, as well. :)
Commes de Garcons Incense Kyoto. There is something about this scent that I love like nothing else.
ReplyDeleteKiehl's Musk is wonderful, you're right! Other must of mine are The Healing Garden White Tea body mist and, on the expensive side, Bulgari Voile de Jasmin.
ReplyDeleteI love the Summer by Kenzo :)
ReplyDeletewhile i cant seem to find "my scent" per se, so i simply keep wearing victorias secret love spell. sometimes i wear it with a splash of some yummy vanilla perfume too!
ReplyDeleteLavanilla Vanilla Grapefruit. I always get compliments on how great I smell, which to me, is even better than telling me I look great. Smell has such a strong connection to memory and emotion, I like knowing there is one linked to me.
ReplyDeleteLately I've been wearing Beautiful by Estee Lauder. It was a bridal shower gift from my mother-in-law and I wore it on my wedding day and throughout the honeymoon. So now I just wear it every so often and it takes me back!
ReplyDelete*kate
I have been wearing the musk for years. I get so many compliments!
ReplyDeleteMAC cosmetics makes a nice line of scents, I've been wearing MV2 for several years. It's a musky vanilla smell and it's pretty reasonably priced!
ReplyDeleteYES. When I saw your tweet about this the first thing I thought of was Kiehl's musk. I wear it too. I also have the body wash and lotion. (obsessed) Its the best smell EVER.
ReplyDelete"Live" by J.Lo. It's a little sweet and old lady-ish when you first put it on, but after that...people ask me all day what I'm wearing!
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced Musk, but am in the market for a new signature scent so I will surely try it out. I like complex, earthy and/or spicy scents so this may be a good fit. I've been wearing Dior's Hypnotic Poison for 5 years. It's sexy. I love it. But, I'm ready for a change.
ReplyDeleteI wear Neroli Jasmin from The Body Shop - it's the most beautiful perfume I've ever encountered!
ReplyDeleteooh, I think I would like this.
ReplyDeletewhen I was a teenager and in my early 20s I wore Clinique Happy. Now in my mid 20s I find myself drawn to Givenchy's Very Irresistible or Michael Kors's Very Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteChanel no. 5 elixir!
ReplyDeleteUn Jardin En Mediterranee by Hermes, with a dab of patchouli.
ReplyDeleteI never wear perfume, it's too strong for me. But I would love to try these oils. I've found lotions and oils to be just as good but no reaction from my nose!
ReplyDeleteAlternate between J'Adore Dior, Miss Dior Cherie, L'eau d'Issay Miyake, and Britney Spears's Curious! I swear it smells so good. ;)
ReplyDeleteUsually wear Jo Malone French Lime Blossom mixed sometimes with her Orange Blossom as well. Fell in love with it while living in London and would stop by Harrods to try it on :) Also sometimes wear In Bloom by Reese Witherspoon, but it's pretty sweet. My fave for going out at night is def Marc Jacobs Lola. Love it. Also just love the smell of aloe after a shower. weird, i know...
ReplyDeleteI wore Michael Kors for seven years, beginning at age 16, and just recently discovered Fresh's Cannabis Santal. I think it's also meant to be a man's fragrance but I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it!
ReplyDeleteEternity Moment by Calvin Klein. I have been wearing it for 4 years now.
ReplyDeleteChanel Mademoiselle! It's feminine in a sophisticated way.
ReplyDeleteClinique Happy or D and G Light Blue. Both smell fresh and soapy :)
ReplyDeleteAngel by Theirry Mugler for the last many years...
ReplyDeleteI think I'll try one of the Kiehls fragrances as I need an everyday scent thats more affordable! Great post! Beth
I cycle through a few. But I lvoe vanilla. I will have to try the Kiehls vanilla.
ReplyDeleteCalvin Klein Euphoria Blossom.
ReplyDeleteLove it! :)
Love this! Sometimes I sneak my guy friends' cologne cuz I love the deep rich scent...and then I spend all day sniffing myself :)
ReplyDeleteI wear Kenneth Cole Reaction for Her, DKNY Delicious and Hollister August...but I might have to try this!
Coco mademoiselle by Chanel. I adore it. xx
ReplyDeleteI wear Clique Happy (it also reminds me of my mom), Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Shine (I must buy a bottle for myself off of amazon...) and occasionally I'll use a little of my sample from Nordstrom of Chanel Chance. All such lovely, fruity scents. Although perfume is so expensive it really helps me to keep depression at bay which is so important for me. Great post Joanna!
ReplyDeleteisn't it funny how perfumes can remind you so strongly of another person?
ReplyDeleteIf it's a loved one who is no longer with us, walking by the perfume counter is such a gift!
Chanel No. 5 is my grandma Lucy.
My favorite is Pure Grace from Philosophy. It's very fresh and clean and generates lots of compliments.
ReplyDeleteMy scent is Michael Kors...sweet and flowery :)
ReplyDeleteDyptique Philosykos is the best. I get a million compliments. Also a touch of Grace solid by Philosophy which always makes me smell fresh and clean.
ReplyDeleteIt took me YEARS to find Kenzo/Amour. It's so spicy and musky (in a good way, probably just like the ones you mentioned) and not too fruity or floral.
ReplyDeleteLancome Miracle for everyday, and Guerlain Vetiver (for men) for when I am feeling tomboyish. Also just discovered Bvlgari Crystal Ombre but it is more of a winter scent. But now I am going to check out the Kiehl's Musk ASAP!
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing Fracas a lot lately. But, my husband always tells me I smell good when I wear Lolita Lempicka, Fleur de Corail. I am curious about the Kiehl's. It is so nice to discover a new favorite scent.
ReplyDeleteCitrus Verbena Summer Fragrance L'occitane...
ReplyDeletesummer... clean...
lamodeloperfecta.blogspot.com
Too funny - I love musk and always wear men's fragrances - so much more gorgeous than silly flowery girlie ones! Bring on musk!
ReplyDeleteGivenchy's Play is PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteI also like to wear Bobbi Brown's Beach. It smells EXACTLY like the beach--sunscreen, sand, salt. Perfect for days when you can't be at the beach!
D&G....Light Blue
ReplyDeleteooh amy, that sounds great! i love those masculine scents.
ReplyDeleteI wear Kiehl's Musk 1921 as well. It's a great scent, and people stop me to ask what I'm wearing all the time.
ReplyDeleteLovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. I guess I'm just feminine to the nth degree...
ReplyDeleteHypnotic Poison by Dior is my go to. It's an oriental vanilla so it's quite warm ... a bit spicey, but light. I also love anything with Coconut - it reminds me of summer and sunscreen :)
ReplyDeleteI love Stella McCartney's fragrances, but haven't seen anyone shout them out yet. They remind me of living in London.
ReplyDeleteAlso, on the scent tip, the best advice I had before our honeymoon was to choose a special fragrance to only wear on honeymoon so every time you smell it after you get all nostalgic. It still works 5 years on!
i LOVE gap's newish scent close. it is just perfect. (after a long time searching) now... what cologne should i buy my husband?! :) p.s. i LOVE kiehls.
ReplyDeleteplum nectar by satu (from anthropologie) is divine
ReplyDeletechance by chanel everyday, but when im feeling extra specail, i used this vanilla scented parfume from paris that i got from the klein's perfumery when i was in melbourne. i give extra hugs when i wear them! :)
ReplyDeletehowever, this musk is rally intriguing since i have my tomboy days too! must try it asap. have a sweet day today my dearest!
OH! Hubby and I share the Kiehl's scent. It's kind of fun to share it. I like to wear it in the cold months. I'm a seasonal type gal. Right now I am wearing Bergamot and Citrus by Fresh.
ReplyDeleteAnanya from Body Shop, for 15 years. Jasmine, pure wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky enough to work at a one-of-a-kind perfume shop, and it makes me so happy to see people enjoying the scents they choose, like you with this fantastic musk! It is remarkable what a difference in mood & perspective a scent can make.
ReplyDeleteLately I've been layering amber with a little citrus and coriander. If you like musk you'd LOVE amber!
I love Karma from Lush. Will have to give Musk a try...sounds lovely
ReplyDeleteJo Malone nectarine and honey blossom
ReplyDeletesooooo yum
My friend Berry wears khiels musk and always smells delicious.
ReplyDeleteI wear Kai perfume, because I love the smell of magnolias. It remind me of home. But no one ever compliments me on my smell, so methinks I might be a stinky kid and no one has the heart to tell me!
It depends on my mood, and the season/weather. I recently discovered Chloé Eau de Fleurs Lavande. So amazing, I can't stop spritzing! I also wear Chloé, Marc Jacobs Grass, Zents Ore, and Coco Mademoiselle or Chance. I'm a fragrance freak!
ReplyDeletexx sk
The Keihl's is my scent too! I'm obsessed with it ;) And a male friend of mine wears the cucumber version. It smells INCREDIBLE on him.
ReplyDeleteI love the Kiehl's musk oil! If you like this try the amber also, it is rich and spicy and wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh I have two that I love. 1) Narcisco Rodriguez and 2) is this egyptian musk that I picked up in Cairo a few years back. Both a wear on random days when I feel I just need a little pick me up. But now I might have to try the oil in the hair cause that is just genius
ReplyDeleteI used to wear Clean "Ultimate", but now I love love love, Gendarme. Its a men's cologne and is hard to find but its amazing. So fresh and so clean!
ReplyDeletefor the day SJP´s Lovely, for the night Gucci by Gucci.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me so happy... I'm interning with L'Oreal this summer (which owns the Kiehls brand) and can't wait for my employee discounts!
ReplyDeleteAfter years of CK One, I've switched last year to L'Eau de Cartier and am loving it. (Yuzu, bergamot, violet, lavender, musk, patchouli, gray amber)
ReplyDeleteI love wearing men's scents and like it when men wear some ladies ones that are quite musky or incensey- I happily wear Mousier Balmain which is a very citrus musky scent.
ReplyDeletehave you noticed your sense of smell and taste in fragrances has changed while being pregnant? i've heard that happens
Im on my third bottle of Prada, the first edition. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteI love Lucky Brand perfume, but you've made this one sound delightful. I want to try it now.
ReplyDeletesomeone has undoubtedly mentioned this above, but the book Perfume- The A-Z guide is a witty, evocative and vast guide to perfumes. be warned- one of my favourites was described as smelling of warm rubber gloves and now i can ONLY smell that when i wear it!! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfumes-Z-Guide-Luca-Turin/dp/1846681022
ReplyDeleteI wear Just Cavalli in the summer and Hypnotic Poison by Dior for colder weather.
ReplyDeleteBut thank god, im only 23 and have already found so many perfumes that last well on my skin!
Pleasures by Estée Lauder. It's such a lovely smell.
ReplyDeleteDepending on my mood and the occasion it's Euphoria, Coco Madmoiselle or Cashmere Mist. I also love Organza, Accenti ... I actualy could just keep goin on and on.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute fav is Chloé...it's the only perfume that I've worn that strangers stop me to ask me what I'm wearing. Close runner-up, which I use during cold winter months is L'Artisan Parfumeur Bois Farine, a woody scent that reminds me of pencil shavings.
ReplyDeleteOnly Karma, by the English soapmaker Lush - you should see their site, every soap looks ... edible. Karma is with almond and orange flower.
ReplyDeleteI'm a musk person too. I love Kiehl's but never thought to get a scent there! I think I may be stopping by there sometime this week!
ReplyDeleteMy signature scent that I always get comments on is Channel Coco but I'm a huge fan of anything Musk too. :0)
ReplyDeletePrincess by Vera Wang - it has hints of chocolate! and Bulgari - simply beautiful and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI always wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. I just love the strong honeysuckle smell. xo
ReplyDeleteI have been wearing this EXACT scent for the past few months. I also love it and the husband hasn't even noticed I swiped it!
ReplyDeleteI've been on the fence for years about perfume because I'd heard about the unimaginable cruelty involved in obtaining natural musk from live animals.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, according to Wikipedia, "Until the late 19th century, natural musk was used extensively in perfumery until economic and ethical motives led to the adoption of synthetic musk, which is used almost exclusively."
I'll need to confirm that for my own conscience, but then I'll be so delighted to try Kiehl's as my re-entry into the perfume world!
I'm on the eternal quest. Mrs. E. loves Safari for Men on me. I'm leaning to Creed's Original Vetiver.
ReplyDeleteMrs. E. has worn only Coco by Chanel since she finished high school in France (80's). I love it.
Oh how i love Kiehl's Musk. I love a woody scent.
ReplyDeleteIn saying that, every now and then i love to dab some scented coconut or almond oil on my wrists. it's a sweet yet natural scent!
cucumber and melon. mmhm so fresh.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, great tip! I am obsessed with musk, but have never been able to find something quite the right scent.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Chanel #5 girl.
ReplyDeleteWow! sounds great!
ReplyDeleteI have trouble finding a scent i like. Often i like smelling of a boy but guys dont really like it and used to comment on it alot! grr.
tempted to try this now. i am intrigued! oh i wish there was smelternet! :)
Depending on the weather and what I am dressing for, I alternate between Prada's Tendre, Tocca's Brigitte and Dior's Addict. I've been wearing Addict for about 8 years now and can't get enough of how sexy it is.
ReplyDeleteI'm hesitant to wear perfumes since I get migraines easily--even from lotions sometimes. I'll often spritz and walk around the mall to try it out. Musk is one of the few that doesn't bother me. I'm wearing perfume from Hollister or I'll wear something from Bath and Body Works.
ReplyDeleteI love Chanel No. 5. So old school!
ReplyDeletei love gwen stefani's L.A.M.B. perfume, and the bottle is awesome as well!
ReplyDeleteThese comments are funny to me--I can't imagine wearing only one perfume for years! I have about 16 bottles & too many samples to count. I'm a fan of Serge Lutens.
ReplyDeleteBy Day JLo "Miami Glow" it sooooo reminds me of Hawaiian Tropic and holidays in the Sun, so this is a must in Winter (it's like gold dust to get hold of)!! By Night "Narciso Rodriguez" for her Lush Lush Lush mmmmmmmmmm xxSuexx
ReplyDeleteэлектрошокер
ReplyDeleteI like to mix Marc Jacobs Daisy with Escada Ibiza Hippie. The sweet fruitiness of the Escada is muted a bit by the softer floral scent of the Daisy. In the winter I actually really love Bath & Body Works Vanilla Noir - it's sweet and spicy, with a little bit of musk and men swoon over it.
ReplyDeleteSometimes if I'm in the mood for a change I either use C.O. Bigelow's Lemon (lemon with a hint of vanilla and floral), or a simple rose oil I picked up at a craft fair this winter.

Also, my daughter and I went to see the Bonnie Hunt show in January, where the giveaway was a bunch of Kiehl's facial products. Their moisturizer is wonderful! Ever since, I've been wanting to pop into their store to see their other products. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeletesounds awesome. i have always liked guys scent's over the ones available for girls (regardless of how guys felt about it); I am a tomboy to the core. I bet i'd like this one very much! :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my fav perfumes is a discontinued Gap scent called Sueded Musk. I have it in a roll on and have won sexiest perfume contests before! Too bad I cant find it anywhere anymore! I will ahve to check out the Kiehl's version!
ReplyDeleteSandalwood mixed with a nice musk is very sexy smelling! Try a dash of sandalwood w/ this musk. It changes things up a bit!
ReplyDeletemight have to try this for my mother! since before i was born (yes i'm 36) she has worn Coty's Musk perfume...i don't even know if they still make it anymore...i should grab some of this for her mother's day gift...thanks
ReplyDeletei wear classic marc jacobs. it smells like gardenias.
ReplyDeleteyou totally strike me as a kiehl's musk girl! it's funny how a woman's scent can tell you so much about their personality.
This sounds lovely!!
ReplyDelete"Breathless" by Victoria's Secret is my perfume of choice, meaning I don't wear perfume unless it's this one. Too many smell way too floral and girly for me and this one is perfect. It's got a bit of that musky thing going on, but it has a hint of something floral and something fruity to lend a nice, subtle feminity to it. It doesn't smell like anything my grandmother owns which is a big plus
ReplyDelete(love you Grandma!) but it doesn't make me feel like a teenybopper either. I'm far from being 100% tomboy, but I cringe at the thought of wearing skirts and heels on a daily basis. This is perfect for the middle-ground woman, which, if I'm not mistaken, is most of us.
I wear a "man's fragrance" too. It's by korres and is comprised of saffron amber, agarwood and cardamom. It smells very unique and spicy but is just feminine enough to get away with. On the days when I want to feel extra girly, I wear V&R's Flowerbomb.
ReplyDeletex
YOU HAVE TO TRY KAI (kai fragrance). Without fail, every single time I wear it, someone will stop me on the street and ask what lovely fragrance I'm wearing.
ReplyDeleteI rarely wear perfume, but I think that is going to change. I love Kiehl's Musk 1921. Thanks for sharing, Courtney
ReplyDeleteMost commonly I wear American Cream from Lush. I used to use the conditioner by the same name and when anyone hugged me they would compliment me and hang on a little extra long - always a good thing. Then I started using the solid purfume, and now I get even more compliments. It smells OK in the little tin, but when you wear it comes to life beautifuly.
ReplyDeleteI love the scent of honey. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a honey scent?
I've been wearing Fresh's Apricot Fig...and I just bought a small bottle of Philosophy's Amazing Grace, I also want to buy the Pure Grace oil.
ReplyDeletedaisy by marc jacobs is my favourite
ReplyDeletei've been wearing it for 2 years now
I'm kind of a fragrance-junkie. My favorite right now is Eau de Sisley #3. But I think I may need to pick up this musk - sounds fabulous! ;)
ReplyDeleteXO Piper
MARC JACOBS DAISY
ReplyDeletealso a very boyish girl scent
and I adore it
My main staple is YSL's Baby Doll. It was the first perfume I paid more than $20 for. While it's super cute and pretty, I think I'm ready for another upgrade. I'll definitely try these Kiehl products. On a side note: if it were up to my boy, I would wear some crazy baked good spray from Bath and Body Works... I think he's still in some middle school state of mind when it comes to scents.
ReplyDeleteI'm a complete perfume addict and rarely wear the same perfume for anything more than a week; instead, I spritz according to my mood and my outfit. I wear Agent Provacateur when I'm feeling sultry(love the pink egg-like bottle too!), various Ormonde Jayne fragrances(almost all delicious, and high quality . . . my favorite is Champaca, then Ta'if, Frangipani and Woman), Narcisco Rodriguez for quiet cozy moods, Calvin Klein Truth when it's cold out, Lancome Mille et une Roses (delicious light vanilla-lemon-rose) in the spring, Prada Infusion d' Iris in hot weather, and recently,Frederic Malle Carnal Flower(beautiful tuberose) and L'Occitane the pour un ete(jasmin tea and so fresh and light). I blog about scents too if you're interested:
ReplyDeletewww.dazzlingdear.blogspot.com
Also, in response to Jennifer Lorton's comment above, if you love honey, i would recommend Serge Lutens Miel du bois(super raw, intense honey with a woods note . . . strange and lovely), Ava Luxe's Honey Parfum(musky honey) and Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey cologne(yummy).
ReplyDeleteI love this scent! One of my absolute faves. :) xo
ReplyDeleteJoanna! First of all, I love your blog. I just came across it yesterday via Refinery29 and I am HOOKED. Secondly, my all-time favorite musk is Musc for Her by Narciso Rodriguez. It's absolutely lovely. I will have to check out Kiehl's musk based on your recommendation. If you're ever in Chicago, please stop by my shop, Dovetail Chicago. I'd love to meet you.
ReplyDeleteJulie
love the kiehl's coriander...
ReplyDeleteI saw this post a few weeks ago and fell in love with your description of it. So, I impulsed bought with out smelling it first and I was quite anxious to get it in the post, knowing I'd either love it or hate it and well.... I LOVE IT! thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteВосстановление зрения
ReplyDeletemy favourite is hypnotic poison, but after seeing this post i fell in love with kiehl's amber - just the perfect mix of smokey cinnamon.
ReplyDeleteyes i know it may be more of a masculine scent, but with winter coming on in australia it makes me feel like i'm wrapped up in a big blanket in front of a fire..
