My lovely readers, what are you doing this weekend? My friends are sweetly throwing me a baby shower--a classic New York brunch with bagels and mimosas!--and our families are coming into town. I can't wait to see everyone. Also, the baby's crib arrived in a huge box today. Setting up the crib feels like one of those big life moments and kind of gives me goosebumps! Sounds like you have a most wonderful weekend planned! Take a ton of pictures, even when setting up the crib.
We just got rid of a bunch of our baby furniture, the stuff we first got with our first son and I was a little sad seeing it go. Those memories and feelings I had when we first used the changing table for example, came right back to me, such a special time!
Enjoy each minute of your shower and getting ready for your son.

Oh...I am so excited for you! I love baby showers. They make me so emotional, because you realize that the little baby is coming soon and that all those people are there to celebrate it....Just enjoy it!...Try to make mental notes....so you can cherish those little moments:)

oh, I remember when I had my baby shower. its alot of fun especially playing all those games like where you are trying to guess the kind of poo (diff chocolates, snickers, twix, melted and each placed in baby diapers) Enjoy your weekend and your family.

This weekend marks the anniversary of the awesome surprise shower my husband threw for me. It was incredible and I was ridiculously surprised I still get teary eyed over it. Of course I have my girls to remind me of it :)
