Same hill, different day

For two years, Chicago photographer Paul Octavious visited the same hill and took photos. "Each time, a new story is told, as if the hill is my stage and the locals are the actors in this daily play," he says. Awesome. (I'd want to go on the kite-flying day.)

  1. What an amazing concept! It's so true, every street and every life tell different stories - depends on the seasons, where you're at and the time you're in it....

sorry to change the subject but i wanted to ask you if you noticed that the empty space at chelsea market is finally becoming something, ... an anthropologie store??
As beautiful as their stores are I was really disappointed. Personally I would love something 'real' for the neighborhood and to enhance the awesomeness that is chelsea market. perhaps a classic style diner, a stationary store, a large sit down cafe - anything that could bring personality to a neighborhood that now leans more towards mall than manhattan. unfortunately i'm sure the only company that could afford that space was something like the urban outfitters inc.
anyway - i was wondering about your thoughts on it..

  55. Thanks for the link!

Growing up a friend lived very near that hill and as kids we always called that 'kite hill'. It was where we flew kites in the spring and fall, went sledding in the winter and lay and watched clouds roll by in the summer.

This photographer really captured the magic of that place.

  56. this is amazing!!! only works in places where the seasons actually change though (ie. not southern california).

  73. Choose a pattern for your agate earring. You can just grab random agate beads and have an entirely random pattern if you like, but most necklaces are made based on a predetermined pattern. Even if you use a random pattern, your agate pendant will look more professional and finished if you place small spacer or seed beads between the agate beads. One common and simple pattern is: three agate beads, one accent bead, three agate beads, repeated throughout the whole necklace, with small spacer beads between every agate and accent bead.
