Have a relaxing weekend.

My dear readers, what are you doing this weekend? Alex has been traveling all week, so I'm excited to have him back in my clutches. And New York is supposed to get a giant snowstorm! Have a wonderful weekend, and here are a few great posts from around the web...

Rainbow pancakes + a rainbow cake.

I'm totally in love with this blog's header.

Bridal-bouquet musings.

Speaking of stripes, I love this French shirt.

An awesome birthday present for a dad.

Penguin-book postcards.

Hollister wrote Valentine's Day gift guides for women and men. Pitch-perfect, as always.

Can't wait for summertime.

Bridal squeeeeeeze.

Bookend round-up.

Wait, we're running out of helium? But we love balloons!

Beautiful rings.

Snowy Amsterdam.

A dinner-party conversation starter.

This baby bed isn't in the marketplace yet (just a prototype) but it's a rad idea!

Plus, five Cup of Jo posts you might have missed:
* Deer beds.
* Italian street style.
* Book covers.
* A photo-booth proposal + a wedding photo booth.
* Bunny chocolates.

  2. Joanna - my partner and I are off on a 2 week camping and hiking trip to beautiful Tasmania (the island state of Australia..waaay down the bottom there...)
    If ever you come downunder you def should visit the Apple Isle - it's some of the most prestine wilderness in the worl, and old villages with amazing architecture, antique shops, farmers markets and cafes. Simply gorgeous.

    This weekend please remember the 179 victims of the Victorian Black Saturday bushfires that tore through my part of the world this time 12 months ago. I have written a post over on my blog about my experience on that night, I didn't want to write it originally but it was very healing.

  17. That snow is here (DC) & isn't going anywhere yet. We may get the worst & be glad if so. I'm fearing power outages which will have me loading up GG the cat in her carrier & plodding along for miles in snow boots for shelter. Yikes. Keep fingers crossed for us down here.

  18. That's a neat co-sleeper! All the rest on the market aren't so stylish. We just have our crib pushed up to our bed (with one side off) to make our own. Not stylish, but it was free, since it was a family crib! :)

  27. Hey Jo! Long time reader, first time commentator . . .

    I'm not sure if you've tried the Quebequais dessert of Pouding Chomeur, but it's such a nice treat. It's marvelous for winter night and breakfasts and when I wrote about it the other day, I thought you would enjoy the buttery biscuity caramelized deliciousness:

    I have to tell you, I just started my morning here with the New York Times and Alex's article in Sunday Styles could not be more perfect! I am living that life(, but worse, with a percentage at or close to 70% 30%)!
    Please tell him I have just sent it to all my friends and I'm glad somebody is writing about this :)

  39. Your weekend links posts always inspire me and keep me amused for a good half hour. Which is wonderful, because right now in DC the snow is falling fast and furiously! There's enough snow on my balcony to build a snowman. In fact, I might just do that.

    (And I've made a rainbow cake before...it's quite lovely to see the recipient's face when they cut into and see all those colors!)

  40. I live in Washington D.C. and we have been hit by a huge snowstorm. Everyone around here is calling it a "snowpocalypse!"

    It is actually so relaxing to pile up in my bed by the window, eat soup, and catch up on blogs and reading for class. Do you have snow in NY?

    Have a happy weekend!
