My dear readers, what are you doing this weekend? Alex has been traveling all week, so I'm excited to have him back in my clutches. And New York is supposed to get a giant snowstorm! Have a wonderful weekend, and here are a few great posts from around the web...Rainbow pancakes + a rainbow cake.
I'm totally in love with this blog's header.
Bridal-bouquet musings.
Speaking of stripes, I love this French shirt.
An awesome birthday present for a dad.
Penguin-book postcards.
Hollister wrote Valentine's Day gift guides for women and men. Pitch-perfect, as always.
Can't wait for summertime.
Bridal squeeeeeeze.
Bookend round-up.
Wait, we're running out of helium? But we love balloons!
Beautiful rings.
Snowy Amsterdam.
A dinner-party conversation starter.
This baby bed isn't in the marketplace yet (just a prototype) but it's a rad idea!
Plus, five Cup of Jo posts you might have missed:
* Deer beds.
* Italian street style.
* Book covers.
* A photo-booth proposal + a wedding photo booth.
* Bunny chocolates.

Stay warm and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteJoanna - my partner and I are off on a 2 week camping and hiking trip to beautiful Tasmania (the island state of Australia..waaay down the bottom there...)
ReplyDeleteIf ever you come downunder you def should visit the Apple Isle - it's some of the most prestine wilderness in the worl, and old villages with amazing architecture, antique shops, farmers markets and cafes. Simply gorgeous.
This weekend please remember the 179 victims of the Victorian Black Saturday bushfires that tore through my part of the world this time 12 months ago. I have written a post over on my blog about my experience on that night, I didn't want to write it originally but it was very healing.
Richmond has been hit with the 3rd snowstorm in a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Bright Bold and Beautiful weekend!
xoxo Laura
That baby co-sleeper prototype is brilliant!!! And so well designed. Have a great weekend:)
ReplyDeletelove your weekend links posts. hope you have a nice weekend too!
ReplyDeleteLove the striped shirt!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekending! The bridal squeeze gave me a much needed laugh!
ReplyDeletehave a lovely weekend, lady!
ReplyDeleteCuddle up this weekend and enjoy! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe're having a girl's breakfast/movie time, of course Super bowl, and date night!
Have a great weekend!!!
I'm sitting inside watching the snowstorm here in Philly. I'm an au pair here, and the kid's parents are on their first vacation away from them. So I'm playing Mary Poppins until Tuesday. Hopefully it will stop snowing... Planning on watching all the episodes of Glee..
ReplyDeleteI Loved that header too...
Have I ever mentioned that your Friday "posts from around the web" totally make my weekend?
ReplyDeleteActually, as I am writing this I realize that I have! http://scatteredthoughtsbybreenuh.blogspot.com/2009/11/blogger-love.html
Thanks for the cheer-up! I need it today!
My friend sent me your blog and that first picture of the girl on the bed is of me! Haha!
ReplyDeleteA couple years ago, I was trying to rent some helium tanks for the office party and I couldn't find one single place in New York that would sell or rent them! One of the sales people told me that helium was running out and I was in disbelief!
ReplyDeletestay warm!!! the storm is getting really strong here in DC!!!
ReplyDeletefeaturing Progressive Pioneer's header was a crowd pleaser. i LOVED it. so creative and lovely. have a wonderful wknd!
ReplyDeleteI am now following Alain de Botton, he is Brilliant! LOVE. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat snow is here (DC) & isn't going anywhere yet. We may get the worst & be glad if so. I'm fearing power outages which will have me loading up GG the cat in her carrier & plodding along for miles in snow boots for shelter. Yikes. Keep fingers crossed for us down here.

That's a neat co-sleeper! All the rest on the market aren't so stylish. We just have our crib pushed up to our bed (with one side off) to make our own. Not stylish, but it was free, since it was a family crib! :)
ReplyDeletehave a nice relaxing weekend too!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks love! You're the sweetest:)
ReplyDeleteI'll be hanging out with my MIL... we're taking a drive to a little town in MA so my husband has some quiet time to prepare for a few trials.
ReplyDeleteBtw I'm totally lusting after the Mociun jewelry now!
I love those stacking rings from mociun. Thanks for posting about them; I probably wouldn't have seen them otherwise!

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! The photo booth wedding has really inspired me to do some wedding planning this weekend! It was sooooo cute! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteHave nice weekend..and take care of yourself and loved ones....
ReplyDeleteHey Jo! Long time reader, first time commentator . . .
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you've tried the Quebequais dessert of Pouding Chomeur, but it's such a nice treat. It's marvelous for winter night and breakfasts and when I wrote about it the other day, I thought you would enjoy the buttery biscuity caramelized deliciousness:

oooooh that sailor stripped shirt is fantastic!
ReplyDeletehow can something so simple be so elegant and classy?

Joanna, have a lovely weekend and stay warm!!
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, I just started my morning here with the New York Times and Alex's article in Sunday Styles could not be more perfect! I am living that life(, but worse, with a percentage at or close to 70% 30%)!
Please tell him I have just sent it to all my friends and I'm glad somebody is writing about this :)
hey joanna,
ReplyDeletefriends of mine have something similar to that babybed. it is on weels (so you can take it with you to the living room during the day...)and you can hook it onto the edge of your bed. i'll bet you find something similar.
I love that unique header too! And the snowy pictures of Amsterdarm... so alluring!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend, Joanna!
Love your blog!! I am snowed in with at least two feet in Washington DC!! Fun times in the snow ahead!!!
ReplyDeleteI have nominated you for the Sunshine Bloggers award. You can pick it up at http://mommysreviewsyoucanuse.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine built a baby bed like that for her baby! The bottom was big/long enough to fasten under her mattress with a couple of screws, and she padded the plywood sides with old duvets and foam. You should try it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the snow! We haven´t had snow in Reykjavik in months!
Hihi!
ReplyDeleteI been trekking down nature reserves with my wife for hours this hot afternoon in Singapore.

ReplyDeletehow cute is this care package? I am sending one to my sister whose at notre dame for valentines day! i have two sisters and because we no longer live in the same house, we send each care packages with our love! Thought you might like it too!
Whenever I make it on your weekend list, I feel like I've been a good blogger. But twice! Twice! Thank you! xo
ReplyDeleteI was so excited yesterday for the weekend:) It's time to relax, enjoy the fam and have some yummy Hot Cocoa:)
ReplyDeleteYour weekend links posts always inspire me and keep me amused for a good half hour. Which is wonderful, because right now in DC the snow is falling fast and furiously! There's enough snow on my balcony to build a snowman. In fact, I might just do that.
ReplyDelete(And I've made a rainbow cake before...it's quite lovely to see the recipient's face when they cut into and see all those colors!)
I live in Washington D.C. and we have been hit by a huge snowstorm. Everyone around here is calling it a "snowpocalypse!"
ReplyDeleteIt is actually so relaxing to pile up in my bed by the window, eat soup, and catch up on blogs and reading for class. Do you have snow in NY?
Have a happy weekend!
Xoxo <3
That baby bed is such a great invention ... my friend´s husband built one for their new born and it is so practical...
ReplyDeleteDon't know how you're faring in NY, but here in Southern Pennsylvania, we're buried in snow!! It's actually quite beautiful, and we have nowhere to be, so all is well!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautiful, glad I found you!
I love the look of that co-sleeper. We used the mini co-sleeper from Arm's Reach - great for a NYC-sized apartment but not as stylish! Still waiting for that snow storm!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
i always love your links! and those rainbow pancakes .. amazing, i think i need to make some.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I got a kick out of the photo booth proposal. So romantic but quirky!
ReplyDeleteMy little girl and I are making our own Valentines for her pre-school party and heading to the farmer's market for some goodies tomorrow morning. Thank you for all of your fun links, always lovely! xo
ReplyDeleteI am doing the 14 days of Valentine. So everyday i do something fun with hubby with a cute little card. It's on my blog.
ReplyDeletewww.lechateaudesfleurs.blogspot.com
i love your 'have a relaxing weekend' links :)
ReplyDeleteI have been curled up in bed with netflix, enjoying the snow in the appalachian mountains. Quality one-on-one time with myself due to being snowed in!
ReplyDeleteIn Spain we have a really good weather this weekend. but my friends and me decided that we would like to try to make some cupcakes (our first time) we really had a lot of fun. And the cupcakes were delicious we made with chocolate and a lot of love .
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, the weekend was too short, it's already over. I was learning nearly all the time, so sad...but it was cold and cloudy outside, I didn't miss anything. Hope your weekend was better!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to come to New York and experience the world's greatest city. Luckily I am coming in spring time, so hopefully those snow storms are done then haha.
ReplyDeleteI adore that bridal flower post!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Alex are staying nice and toasty in the midst of the snowstorm, Jo!! :)
ReplyDeletegreat links, as always! :)
ReplyDeletelove the links. come to think of it, love the whole blog :) super cute, and fun to frequent. hope the pregnancy is going well, my dear!

That baby bed would sell SO well if they would just start selling it! It's got to be the most blogged-about piece of juvenile furniture around. Absolutely adore it.
