Missed connection

In the Missed Connections section on Craigslist, people try reconnect with strangers they shared a moment with on the street (or subway or elevator). Artist Sophie Blackall has been illustrating them for almost a year. This one from New Year's Eve made me smile.

  23. Here in Athens, Greece, there is a free-press newspaper with a column titled 'I saw you', which works exactly the same way! The column has been so successful, that a couple of years ago there was a TV series with stories based on that idea! :-)

  42. Oh, I remember the back pages of the Village Voice way back when people would take out classified ads to find missed connections. I'd skim the pages once in a while just in case there was one for me, haha.
