A few readers asked for a belly shot, so Alex snapped one last night. As my friend Caroline says, I'm finally starting to look pregnant, not just like I ate too much mac n' cheese. At 19 weeks along, I'm still squeezing my large self into Old Navy's perfect fit tees, but soon it will be time for some honest-to-goodness maternity shirts. (My button-downs are bursting at the seams.) Now I'm heading uptown to my doctor's appointment to find out if this sweet little baby is a girl or boy! We're so excited. Thank you so much for all your sweet comments yesterday. xoxoP.S. The belly grew so much in the past two weeks!

Good luck at your appt. Those 20 week ultrasounds were my favorite part of being pregnant. Both days among the most memorable of my lives. I remember everything about them, Right down to what I had for lunch after I found out the sex.

ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird the day you step in front of the mirror and suddenly LOOK preggo? It seems to happen all of a sudden, instead of just getting bigger you all of a sudden see that there is a tiny being in there! It really threw me the first time. I think it's a girl. My going theory is the ladies that carry well and have the 'glowing' thing going on are looking so good because their bodies don't have to adjust to boy hormones or something... we are girls so we carry girls better. I had two boys and looked like death warmed over both times :) You DEFINITELY should take some artsy nude shots looking like that. I envy the women who look that fabulous through their pregnancy! If I had looked like you I would have for sure! LOL

I didn't and I regret it. i saw something cute on another blog. the auther had taken a picture of herself in the same place in her house every week during her pregnancy and then posted them all together. very interesting. you can do the same thing with the baby once born.
