Last week, Alex and I went to the hospital for our second sonogram. The doctors smeared warm gel on my belly and looked at the baby on the monitor. He was wriggling all over the place! (I've been feeling him kick SO much lately, which is adorable and kind of feels like bubbles.) It was totally sci-fi to see his tiny spine with all the intricate bones, but the most exciting part was seeing his teeny profile. Alex jokes that he looks like a Dr. Seuss character at this point, but we think he's beautiful and are totally enamored. This little photo makes me smile every time I look at it. I love his tiny hand just hanging out there. :)Thanks for all your lovely comments about everything so far; it's so much fun to share everything with you. xoxo

Oh Joanna isn't that the best? That little spine is amazing, it's all amazing:)
ReplyDeleteso magical and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi little duffer! Seeing the baby is so exciting! At our last ultrasound, our little guy kept looking towards us and blowing kisses (we had a scare around 5 months and thought we might lose him, and I think it was his way of telling us that everything is going to be okay). It's so crazy when they get bigger and kick, because you can, like, grab onto little hands and feet almost popping through your belly. I was always amazed that my belly-button didn't unravel and my kids pop out that way. What an excited time, thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy that you and Baby are healthy and doing great :)
ReplyDeletehow wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'm so happy for you and Alex.

ReplyDeleteAwww wow! Congratulations again. =]
ReplyDeleteAny baby name ideas yet?
x
how exciting! our daughter and her husband will be having a girl (we think)...the tech said that "baby wouldn't open her legs to be 100% sure" in which we replied "good girl--so modest!" and he said that he would lean towards a girl--but another ultrasound in 2/10 should confirm. Congrats to all of you!

ReplyDeleteI know you'll save this for the baby book and all abut I wanted to share that we also got a gorgeous profile ultrasound of my oldest son and that although he is now 7, his nose still looks exactly the same. Sometimes I'll catch a glimpse of him in profile now and it will bring me right back to lying on that table and seeing him for the very first time.
ReplyDeleteSo you may not actually need to keep the photo to keep the memory. Congrats!
