  4. I think everything looks nice when paired with an old English cottage :) I love my tree this year. I bought it fully decorated at an auction to help the homeless shelters in my town. But I love this one also.

  7. I love the simplicity of this tree... I'm looking at it and thinking "hey, I could do that!" (Now, I'll just have to work on obtaining the old English cottage to go with it...)

  10. awesome. now only if i had a charming english cottage to go with it!

this is my first christmas as a married lady (with my own tree) and apparently no one told me you are supposed to put your live tree in WATER. oops! ours is definitely a fire hazard at the moment.

this nice little plug in version would have been oh so helpful.

    merry merry christmas my dear!

  11. I had one just like that growing up! My dad rigged it up when I was in 2nd grade to surprise me when I came home from school. I'd love to have one at my house, now that I have kids of my own.

  16. Awesome!
My grandparents did somethign similar at their house in florida-- every Christmas they put up a tree just like this one, but with colored lights, and floated it on a raft out in the middle of the small lake they lived on. I never really figured out how they were so confident with the whole extension-cord-in-the-lake thing, but it sure was beautiful.

I have seen many of these where I live in the upper Midwest, and they are incredibly tacky. Just imagine this in front of a three-bedroom ranch house with no landscaping and you will get my "drift."

  24. A few years ago my mom started doing an outdoor tree. It looks much different from this (traditional lights, etc.), but it sits on her deck and you can see it as you drive up. So pretty.

Yeah, you could probably put a turducken on a stake by that house and everyone would gush. Merry Christmas! I hope everyone gets an English cottage this year! ;-)
