Have a lovely weekend

My sweet readers, what are you up to this weekend? We have a funny story: Alex and I had been planning to take a little trip this weekend, so we rented out our apartment. But then we decided not to leave town, after all...but since our apartment was already rented, what were we to do? Suddenly we had a funny idea: We could rent a different apartment in the city for ourselves! We went on homeaway and found a cozy apartment in a Brooklyn brownstone. Now we'll be taking a little getaway after all...fifteen minutes from home. It all feels hilariously Seinfeldian. Have a wonderful weekend, my darlings, and in the meantime, here are a few great posts from around the web...

Baby Alex crawls!

Portland has rad scratch-off tickets.

Fifteen holiday party dresses.

Yum.

Splish, splash, what a cute bath.

What I wore.

A funny twist on a terrarium...

...And twist on antlers. (Via Swissmiss)

Wanna get kissed? Wear your own mistletoe.

Loving this shirtdress.

Flowers in December.

Plus, many more gift guide posts coming up next week! Thank you! xoxo

  7. Oh I LOVE doing things like that! I always think its fun to stay a hotel in the city you live in every now and then, just because sometimes it really allows you to see the city from different eyes...and it just switches things up! Enjoy!!! Sounds like you two will have a lovely time:)

  44. For my husband's birthday last weekend, we couldn't afford to take a trip, but since my husband loves to stay in hotels (he turns into a little kid), we booked a night in an inexpensive hotel a few metro stops away. We drank whiskey and ate macarons that we brought, and watched English-language cable TV (we live in Prague, so that's a treat in itself!). It was great.
