Home Inspiration: Coziness

Marc and Sean's farmhouse in Walton, New York, is beautifully cozy. You can almost smell the bonfire. And don't you want to cuddle up in the bed nook, with its thick quilt and antique mirrors?

  3. YES! I love this house, I saw it on manmakehome a while back.

    It literally makes me LONG to be there- in a tummy lurching sort of way, rather than in miserable London in the rain. Oh to be in that bed nook with a cup of hot chocolate and a book! sigh...

  34. I love the cubby bed. I wonder if it ever had a curtain enclosure to hold in the heat? My grandma used to tell me about her childhood bed that was like that.

Cozy is definitely on my agenda right now – I went and bought myself some bootie slipper things yesterday to wear round the house – and now I never want to take them off ever! I'm also dreaming of open fires too – can you tell it's gotten colder in Scotland of late?!

  62. It's nice how the photos were taken. The bedroom is very inspiring. I like the hanging mirrors on the side of the bed. I'm looking around your blog for ideas on how I'm gonna put up a nice room for my niece. My brother in-law and I will be doing a DIY. Home building kits for our renovation is almost complete. Some of them are second-hands.

  66. Whoa! My dad wanted a farmhouse since I was little. I guess this explains why. I can tell from the pictures that it’s cozy and peaceful inside. He really wanted to live somewhere tranquil where our family could settle down in peace. Nice!
