Bored to Death

Have you seen the new HBO series, Bored to Death? It's about a struggling Brooklyn novelist who moonlights as a private detective, and I find it endlessly hilarious. Ted Danson is a genius.

  1. I discovered this show the other day and it is amazing! A perfect ode to Brooklyn and all of its quirks. The casting is spot on.

  8. I was waiting with bated breath for this series to start! And I was definitely not dissapointed. So hilarious! And Ted Danson - aside from being a riot.. had my boyfriend envying every suit he wore!

  16. To say I love this show is a HUGE understatement. My boyfriend and I don't subscribe to HBO, but have thought about getting it simply for this series! We caught it one night while in New Orleans on vacation and laughed the whole way through. I adore Zach G!!!

  32. I initially resisted, because I'm stubborn, but my husband, equally stubborn, kept insisting that I watch it. I finally did and now I'm totallly hooked. So happy for on demand!

  58. OBSESSED!!! I went away for the weekend in early October and I came back to find my husband head over heels in LOVE with this show. He made me watch every episode, which wasn't exactly hard to do since I have a thing for Mr. Schwartzman. Seriously, the funniest show on tv...I practically have to hold back both tears and pee while watching from laughing so hard. {TMI??}

  59. yes! I love this show. Ted Danson is so funny...I watched most of the eps twice bc my husband fell asleep half way through them the first time bc we watched them after Dexter and Mad Men on Sunday. :) I didn't complain...I laughed even harder the second time.

  66. Unfortunately, I don't have HBO. Since I rarely watch tv and stick with series on DVD's it doesn't seem worth it. (Though I have a feeling this may be changing next summer when I get married. Hm?) Anywho, I heard Ted Danson's interview on NPR about the show though and it definitely created high expectations for me - glad to hear its living up to those!
