Wedding: Picnic brunch

We couldn't bear to let our guests go quite yet, so for the Sunday morning after our wedding, we arranged a casual brunch in Battery Park's Rockefeller Park, which is right on the water, with old schooners sailing by. After a very rainy weekend (there was even mention of a hurricane!), we were thrilled to see the sun come out. My mom ordered delicious uttapas from Hampton Chutney (Indian pancakes with savory toppings), and we had a bubble machine, balloons, frisbees, bikes, hula hoops and lots of blankets. We loved lying around in the grass, hearing the post-game wrap, and watching the little dudes chase each other around. (Two babies even played footsie!)

Next up: The final post with final thank yous. xoxo

(My dress and Alex's shirt were both from Steven Alan. The giant pink balloons were a nod to our engagement photos by Max; you can find similar balloons here.)

What a fabulous idea! I love how relaxed and content picnics make me feel. If only my husband and I would've thought of this for our celebration!

I've so enjoyed hearing and seeing this chapter of your lives unfold - it's been magical :) I look forward to your next adventure!

your wedding was beautiful, but i think this is my favorite part! the fact that you guys kept your guests close, and spent such a leisurely sunday together is just beautiful. absolutely beautiful! warms my heart, you two are so loving! xo

Your brunch/picnic looks like so much fun! The day after the wedding is so nice and relaxed because the newlywed couple is so happy to be married and the worries of planning the wedding and everything going off without a hitch are over with.

I loved being with my family the day after our wedding (the second-to-happiest day of my life). We chartered a boat out to the Cedar Keys Wildlife Refuge, and spent some time on a deserted island. Because they live in different cities, my family barely knew my husband's family, they had only briefly met prior to our wedding week. The week was perfect - our families hit it off better than we could ever have imagined, and I can't wait for the next time we are all together again.

Hi Jo,

I'm a fan of the site and this is my first comment!

I have a quick question: Did you and Alex get free shirts from Steven Alan to wear? I'm curious because it struck me as a little bit odd you'd note what brand of clothing you both are wearing...like it's a product catalog?!

I think one of the best things about this blog is your authenticity, and if you're making paid endorsements, I'd like those to be separated from your personal endorsements. There's nothing wrong at all with making endorsements of course, it just shows how successful your blog is!

Hopefully I'm not the only Buzz Killington who is wondering about this and you could reply and let me know?

Thanks!

Kathy

If you want to get attention and at the same time, like people to admire you for your fashion sense, you should consider Ed Hardy clothing Clothing. There is no limit to the amazing styles of hardy shirts Clothing. Their own products are designed for the young and fashionable. You will have difficulties choosing among the wide selection of hardy shirt , shirts and hoodies. Manufactured using the most durable and comfortable material, you are guaranteed of excellent quality of ED Hardy Shoes .

Christian Louboutin shoes or any other quality designer could be an economic solution. Christian Louboutin Pumps would not be manufactured in the designer workshop. Hence, these would have comfort level, the exact same design specification and the material or the leather used in t Christian Louboutin Boots is particularly well. Most of the times, Christian Louboutin Sandals would come with dust bag and package which would make these a perfect gift.

As expected, Hogan scarpe has a flat base which exposes a herringbone treading that provides excellent traction and grip. Hogan scarpe donna are made from a special lightweight material named Phylon which gives a pretty responsive feel to hogan donna . This gives way to Hogan scarpe uomo that molds and adjusts to the form of the foot while in motion, giving a very springy resistance.
