Paris bikes

The Sartorialist took this street-style photo of two cuties riding bikes in Paris, but isn't that Adrian Grenier? (The Sartorialist's 333 comments seemed to think so.) My mom loves Entourage and always says Vince is "unflappable."

  1. He is totally unflappable!! (Actually, I think he was flapped in one episode...) Love the bikes in Paris!

  9. He is my dream man! Sometimes he can get a bit too scruffy tho. That is so him in the photo!

  10. They say everyone has a twin.

  11. Looks like him to me! What cracks me up about the pic, tho, is that his lady friend is looking at him like, 'would you stop checking your texts already??? I'm the one you should be paying attention to...'

  12. not only does that look like adrian grenier, doesn't that also looks like the mom from the cullen family in the 'twilight' movies? **bows head in shame that I am referring to twilight** haha.

  13. Totally cute. I don't watch Entourage, but I remember him well from Devil Wears Prada.

  20. oh yes, anonymous, i actually decided not to post them because i looked through them and they were mostly personal schmoopy shots (versus pretty paris shots), so i figured i'd skip it! but i'll show better photos of our next paris trip, whenever that will be :)

  21. the bikes they're riding are actually the Velib' Paris bikes -- they are owned by the city, and Parisians can borrow them using a European credit card. it's a SUPER rad program: http://europeforvisitors.com/paris/articles/paris-bike-rentals.htm

I saw the same picture in the Sartorialist and thought the same thing! Weird- I think it is.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That is totally him. And I saw tons of these whilst in Paris over Spring Break! I wanted to ride, but we were in a hurry :-(

    ReplyDelete
  24. ha! all the comments are so funny and over excitable, 'wait! isn't that Adrian Grenier?' x a million. do you think they all thought they had the first comment?!

    ReplyDelete
  25. It cracked me up that EVERYONE wrote that. Scott must have been rolling when he published 300+ comments all essentially saying the same thing. That boy is a total hottie!

    ReplyDelete
  26. hahaha.... def. is him! I've seen the bikes in paris, never took them for a ride though... I'm lazy, I always take the subway! :P

    *loves*

  27. How funny, I just posted that photo this morning! Love that The Sartorialist caught Adrien checking his phone on a bicycle, looking so cool and nonchalant.

    ReplyDelete
  28. This may be staged, but seriously - how is EVERYTHING in Paris so chic?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Haha yes, it's absolutely him! I also read around that fashion week time (when I was in Paris too!) that he had been snapped trying to work the Velib' bikes to get to a fashion show, but he couldn't work it out... so he took a car to the show...

This "celebrity not being so smart" made me smirk :-)

On a side note: the Velib' system should be international, awesome.

  30. That's a really cool bike. Did you catch Oprah yesterday? She talked to women all around the world to see what life was like where they lived. The first section was on Copenhagen, and the bikes! Everywhere, the bikes! I loved it!

  31. Those bikes are coming to London too. They're amazing. Although it is kind've dangerous to watch uninitiated cyclists on them; I cycle a lot and had my heart in my mouth watching my boyfriend wobbling around ahead of me! I'm a bit scared of how non-cyclists will cope on crazy London roads. But, in essence, it's a great scheme.

And that is totally Vince. HAWT.

    ReplyDelete
  32. ooooh I thought that too!!! I was sure he was a famous actor! so if the 333 comments say that... The Sartorialist didn't even notice jaja

    ReplyDelete
  33. It has to be him! I love the velib bike system, I just wish I had a european credit card when I was there. I really liked the fat tire bike tour I went on with the wine boat cruise and how i could barely ride my bike back to the headquarters after.

    ReplyDelete
  34. wow he is cute... but so is her leather jacket! And love her hair...

    ReplyDelete
  35. oh that vince, so dreamy. and who is that lovely lady he's with? so chic.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sigh ... he's pretty :)

  37. i was thinking the same thing when i saw the Sartorialist! We have those bikes in Tokyo but only in certain areas - we need more of them!

    ReplyDelete
  38. The city owns bikes in Hamburg, Germany too! SUCH a cool and fun idea! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's definitely him! Such a cute cute cutie! Speaking of cuties, I can't seem to comment on "Smitten," but think that photo of the couple in your "relationship status" post is like ridiculously cute...kind of the cutest couple ever.

  40. Isn't that Adrien Grenier?

    Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  41. that's what i thought!!! :) glad i wasn't alone on this one. xoxox

  42. what happened to this picture on the sart? there is just something about streetstyle photos with bikes in them that i instantly love!

    ReplyDelete
  43. yes! it is:) and I lovev those bikes too. I took so many photos of them while I was in paris last. it's such a wonderful idea. I would rent them all the time! so convenient! they are everywhere. we're so obsessed with swine flu here though that people would probably be afraid to touch the handlebars...have to seen the hardcore subway surfers lately? I feel like less and less people hang on...not that I want to touch the subway either but I prefer to that to some person falling into me bc they refuse to hold on!!

I noticed what "Shorty" noticed...his texting is obviously annoying his lady friend. I'd be pissed off too. I love her shoes (what little you can see of them) and her cool leather jacket.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That is totally Adrian! Yumsville!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yeah she does look annoyed, to funny...he has such great hair!!! I love Paris in the spring!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. That's him! I've watched Devil Wears Prada numerous times to recognize his lovely locks - the hair, I mean! :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  48. "Unflappable" is mom-speak for "hot."

    ReplyDelete
  49. I definitley think the velib is cool enough for Adrian Greener to ride.

  50. I live in Montreal, and we now have these bikes, too. They are available to rent everywhere, and are called Bixis. Very cute!

    ReplyDelete
  51. she is stunning and he a cutie, but what I love most are the bikes, swoon.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It could be him, could be sombody else. The more important thing is what kind of bike is that? It's awesome, and I would love one (in turquoise maybe?).

This may be staged, but seriously - how is EVERYTHING in Paris so chic?

I'm not sure how, but it definitely IS--also a bit homogenous! Every boulangerie and cafe looked, smelled, and tasted alike, in disparate arrondisements of the city. I have never seen anyone comment on this, but I'm really curious about the reason. Are they state-run? Is it what is expected? The products were so predictable and uniform everywhere we went. Also, the bread at the grocery stores was inedible. The cheese was good, though, and CHEAP. French Emmentaler...mmmmmm.

  54. The design and quality through the Breitling Bentley ranges is unquestionable and this Blackbird is no exception, this really is a beautiful watch! This version of Chronomat B01 was released in 2007 and a replacement for the original Blackbird range which ran from 1995 to 2004 and is a smaller/lighter watch. The new model comes with a Superocean automatic movement that has a Big Date and Chronograph complication and Chronomat Evolution has a 42 hour power reserve.
