Home inspiration: Plant table

I'm always trying to figure out ways to bring greenery into our apartment, so why not devote a whole table to plants? I love the look of this one. (From former Domino editor-in-chief Deborah Needleman's house; see all the amazing photos here.)

  4. Oh how beautiful, but I had to frown just a little when I think of my Calediums that have now withered outside my doorway. Time for some fall mums. This gives me great inspiration on fixing some green in front of my french doors.

  5. So pretty! What a fabulous and inexpensive way to decorate! And you could switch out some of the plants each season to create an entirely different feel to the room!

  6. absolutely beautiful! only, if that were MY table it would be all gnarly, crispy and brown...no matter how hard i try.....they always end up dead.....this does inspire me to try, try again...do you think it would work as well with plastic ones from walmart?(kidding, of course)......i would definitely buy silk ones...kidding again

Adore the plant table. I still miss Domino! I'm an interiors and lifestyle photographer, and I found that mag to be very inspiring. Speaking of inspiring, I must get back to your blog! xo

  8. Wow, her photos are amazing! Thanks for a little Top O' The Morning inspiration. Her house is gorgeous.

  9. I'm short on space for another table (one whose finish I won't be concerned about should it get some water marks), but I love this look! Amongst my favorite possessions are some flower pots made by my uncle in the 70's, which would look lovely clustered together. Must do some rearraging and make space for a botanical table!

  10. And, think of it this way...you'd have just one stop to make for the daily watering routine! (This, for me, would be a good thing, since I do not have a green thumb. Thankfully Paul maintains the plants in our home.)

  11. i love this idea. lately i seem to have a black thumb around plants, but maybe once i grow my green one back i can do something like this!

  12. How gorgeous! Makes me think of my mum's balcony years ago when she filled it with all kinds of plants. We lived in the city so it was like a nice little piece of nature whenever you stepped out there :)

  31. I need it all: the table, the gorgeous array of green plants, and the generous light streaming through the windows. This photo is so inspiring! There's something very British and earthy about it, which suits the Anglophile in me. :-)

  43. Its a great idea. I recently got a potplant to brighten up my dorm room, but it looks like it's dying. Its a parlour palm, does anyone know how to keep those alive? I've done everything.

  44. Fantastic idea! It's so beautiful -- like your own mini-forest.

I love having plants in the apt, but I never seem to be able to keep them alive. Haha. Maybe this table would inspire me to be a more attentive gardener. :)

  45. Lovely! I love having plants around...they're so delightful and cheerful! A whole table is even better. I was just getting ready to replant a pincushion plant that I have, and I think I will go do that now after seeing these inspiring-ly happy plants.
