Wedding kiss

This gorgeous bride wore a veil over her face throughout the wedding ceremony. At the end, the groom lifted it to kiss her. How lovely and old-fashioned.

  5. That is quite romantic and old-fashioned. It seems like veils covering the face at weddings have slowely been phased out - I still adore the sentiment! :)

  43. I almost find it humorous that a bride wearing a veil over her face is blog-worthy, I thought *most* people did that! But now that you mention it, I guess I haven't seen it in wedding pictures.

I wore my mother's hand-made headpiece (1940's revival style that she made in the 70's) we fitted it with new netting so that it matched my dress a bit better. I LOVED wearing it in front of my face throughout the ceremony, and the moment that my groom lifted it off my face was sweet, magical, and romantic all at once. Talk about a thrill!
