  3. hmmm... do I hate my boyfriends job. Well, this week I kinda dislike it... but I wouldnt say hate. He is a guitar player with a country music artist. So, he is always on the road. Which is very hard but we treasure little moments more than others so in that way I feel blessed. But the worst part about it is him being gone for special dates... like this week my birthday but I know we will celebrate big when he gets back.

As always Joanna your blog is wonderful and smitten is just as charming.

  7. lovely smitten round-up...

i really like that haircut and pretty much had my hair like this for over a year. i loved it and can totally see you in that look. the only reason i just changed my cut to a longer fringe that i can wear with a side parting or a messy, 60s style middle parting (the overall layering is pretty much the same), is that i think the strong bangs felt a bit too school-girly for me after a while. (they definitely made me feel ten years younger though, which was kind of cute... :))

i'd say the bangs are a bit more girl-pretty than boy-pretty.

oh dear, i'm getting off on a tangent here...

    happy weekend!

p.s.: can't wait for your wedding pics!

  14. The second inexpensive engagement ring you featured is so much like my wedding band! I got it from an etsy seller, and it's made with recycled gold.

  18. Joanna,
Def get that awesome haircut. I don't know why more people do not go out on a limb when cutting their hair. It will grow back if you hate it or you can just try something else. Since moving to NYC a little over two years ago I gave up my Utah hair and go to the Tigi salon on 61st and Madison about once every 4 months and am constantly switching it up. I have been blonde, brunette, red and have had long to shorter hair and all sorts of fringe from sweeping to straight across like the ones in your picture. They always do a great job and are experts with fringe. I would recommend Berry for color and Thomas for a cut. Life is short...do it!

  20. Oooooo thank you for the opportunity to "spout off" about what I am a snob about....Years ago, I was a flight attendant and we were forbidden to chew gum, I thought it a bit strict, until I was sitting with a friend (this week!) and she started chawing like a cow, it was embarrassing.
Thank you I feel better having spouted...have a nice weekend! smiles...
