How are you?

My dear readers, thank you for always being so wonderful (and putting up with my wedding obsessing). I'd love to ask, how are you? What's going on in your life right now? Big, small, good, bad, funny...I would love to hear! xoxo

I'm a full time worker and part time crafter. I would like to flip that around but the money to pay the bills and put the food on the table is in the full time job. I guess I'm luck in a way.

And I'm a mom to 3 great little dogs. And sexy enough for my husband.

i am packing up to go back to school overseas (in switzerland) and the suitcase i sent home in may, filled with ALL my winter clothes is STILL missing!! (did i mention i go to school in switzerland? it is cold there!). Needless to say, I am freaking out!! So, yes, that is what is going on chez moi.
On the plus side, I am getting a pedicure today!

Things are ok. Boyfriend and I are on that "do we move in together" fence so that's been stressful. Stressed about money but also reaching the breaking point with my job that I've been miserable in for 3 years (really). But I've recently found a love of sewing and embroidery that has been theraputic. And blogging and reading blogs is a good stress reliever. :)

Like TFH. said, I'm so excited for your wedding, Joanna! Especially the day you'll share your photos.

I've been systematically conquering my fears since January, so this year has been difficult but rewarding. This month has been gentle and gorgeous (as summers can be!), though my day job has been challenging in the last week. Some days I wonder if I could be paid to blog, like you!

I'm currently feeling overwhelmed. I suppose it has something to do with the thought of being so close to graduating from college (three more classes to go!), starting a Master's Program, and then balancing every other aspect of my life. Yes, overwhelmed is an accurate term. :)

It's fun to see how everyone's doing... I'm pretty good. It's raining here, but I'm glad for relief from the 100 degree weather we had the other week. I'm also excited that I finally got supplies to make some jewelry and that it was much fun making my first necklace...

I'm worried my cancer will come back. I was diagnosed with lymphoma in March. After many tests, and a two months of fertility treatments to save embryos before chemo, I have learned that it has miraculously gone into remission on its own. It is incurable, though, and I've been told it could reappear at any time. Having trouble coming to terms with that, and planning my life, kids, career, etc.

Your blog makes me happy. I love hearing about your wedding planning :) Thank you for asking.

What a terrific, albeit loaded, question! The main thing I’m struggling with at the moment is finding a new job. I’ve worked the same publishing job for the last three years, and I am ready for a new challenge. It doesn’t help that this is THE worst time to be looking for anything, so it makes the search even more frustrating. I hope to branch into doing freelance work (my dream would be to write for a blog, as well as writing for my own), so I’m trying to broaden my skill set. I remain optimistic.

Despite my struggles, I am grateful that I have the time to devote myself to all the things I love: my amazing boyfriend, great group of friends, my lovely apartment, my ever-growing pile of books, and exercising to achieve good health and a peaceful mind.

And I love hearing details about your wedding; I cannot wait to see pictures!

I'm hoping for a writing job, house sitting job, cat sitting job, assistant job, ANYTHING job, safe place to stay, all of the above!

Also, you're getting married on my birthday which makes me feel quite honored, indeed. :) I think you're terrific!

I am exhausted financially. I have always gotten by, but when does the ship come in? The roof needs to be replaced because it leaks a lot. The heat and a/c are finished-kaput. The washer and dryer too. And the TV. And no stereo. Computer disc part doesn't work. Car a/c quit and only one window goes down and only halfway and it was 104 degrees yesterday. Need new tires and a major tune up and a seat belt for me that works. My children are grown and 6 hours away and money to see them is hard to come by. They can't afford college. I work and work.
But you know, I always see the glass as half full. Today, I am looking for the pitcher to fill it.
Thanks for asking.
I do truly enjoy your blog.

And I'm getting nostalgic, wanting to spend time with my family and friends before I cross the pond. Also doing lots of blogging, preparing myself to have my own ideas, which is apparently important in grad school.

Oh - I wish I could have been answering this question about... a month ago?

I have an amazing bf, and I was all set to move to his city to be with him - i got a great job there and everything... then his dad passed away. And now he's feeling funny, about everything... and I'm so anxious because I'm due to move in a week and he's still not sure.

SO I'm trying hard to stay upbeat, but sometimes it's hard. Right now, I'm hoping that I'll look back in another month and I won't be waking up every morning with that unhappy feeling in my tummy.
