Not sure what's happening to me (I swear I love documentaries!) but I'm suddenly dying to see every romantic comedy this summer. The Ugly Truth, with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, looks hilarious. See the trailer here.

YES Me too!!! People sometimes say I look like a brunette katherine heigl...and I love scottish actors mmm.
don't be ashamed!!!! romantic comedies never let you down, just like the Red Soxs in Fever Pitch. Also, my husband loves romantic comedies. Also, people say I look like Gerard Butler. No, just kidding.
the anticipation of one's own wedding certainly puts romance on the brain, ;)!
You are not the only one. I usually love dude movies, you know action and stuff, I usually hate chick flicks. But for some reason I have got to see the Sandra Bullock movie that is out now, although, forgive me, I can not remember the name.

I haven't even heard of this, but if it's got Gerard Butler in it, I'm going! The funny thing is that I never even cared about him, but then my husband was telling me that he was one of his favorite actors and started showing me a bunch of his movies - 300, Rock n Rolla... and now I love his movies!

It is because there are so many romcoms out this summer! I loved Away We Go.
sometimes u just get on a roll with a certain movie type....after seeing the the proposal, and he is not that into you, and shopaholic...i am ready for more. mind you this has happened in the past 3 months lol

I went through a stage where I thought romantic comedies were so lame. Now they're pretty much the only movies that appeal to me. My brain is getting soft. ;)

I am dying to see it too! just saw the trailer for it again last night! I am a complete rom-com girl, though, so I wanted to see it the moment I heard about it :) I am just hoping it is not one of those situations where all the funny parts are in the trailer!

i'm strangely feeling the same way; i love docs and indies, but desperately want to see this, The Hangover, and Away We Go (but I guess that counts as an indie, right?)

I love romantic comedies! I just recently saw Katherine Heigl in 27 dresses. She is absolutely the best at 'em. Can't wait to see this one either.
OHMYGOD thank you for saying that, now I don't feel so crazy because I'm exactly the same. It must have something to do with the weather. But this movie looks really good, I can't wait to see it either!
Gerard Butler is DELISH!
He's the hottness...amazing looks, scruffy pick you up and carry you kind of strong bod and he's a SCOT! That accent is hot even if nothing else were... he's an 11 fo sho.

I think you have every right to love both indie & major motion pictures...you need a good mix! I'm dying to see this one too {and also a ton of indies!}

HAHA. That's hilarious. I'm the exact same way... I'd rather watch a documentary or a cool foreign film but I've seen Hangover (though not really a romantic comedy), I want to see 500 Days of Summer (but I hold it in a higher esteem than just a regular romantic comedy for some reason), Paper Heart....
Oh how couldja? I'm a documentary person too and this looks exactly like the sort of thing I would avoid - yet Scots are so funny now I may have to allow myself to get dragged into it ;)

Same here. Romantic comedies always put me in a good mood, so I think it's worth seeing them. I will definitely have to check this movie out, in addition to "The Proposal" and "500 Days of Summer."
I never apologise for my movie choices hehe! I'd watch this one for sure, and my mum in law wants to go see The Proposal too (I watch movies with her becos we decided our husbands are movie snobs).

I just found out about it today when my boyfriend e-mailed me to ask if I'd want to see it on the Sony Pictures lot! (he works there) I'm not a huge fan of Heigl, but the movie itself looks hilarious!
