Ten seconds

Every morning, I get so busy and sucked into my computer that Alex made a new rule: I have to take ten seconds to say goodbye to him before he leaves for the office. So, he'll walk up, wearing a crisp shirt and smelling of musk, and say, "Ten seconds." We'll smooch and hug and say goodbye for the count of ten, and then I'll go back to work. I've come to love those ten seconds.

It's exactly a month until our wedding day, and I love you more than ever, Alex.

  10. you guys are adorable! that is such a lovely, heartwarming way to start the day. my mom and dad still leave each other little love notes in random places to remind each other how much they love each other and that nothing is taken for granted between them. people so rarely just stop to tell each other how they really feel, and it gives me so much hope and happiness that you two do it every day! :)

cheers to the one month countdown!!!

  11. I can relate... no matter how late I'm running (even if it requires me to drive 80mph to the bus stop) I will ALWAYS make sure to kiss my husband before I leave the house. Life's too short and you just never know.

  12. Ah, y'all are so cute! I absolutely cannot wait to see how beautiful your wedding turns out! Good luck during your final weeks of planning! :)

  13. Once you have children, the ten second rule will shift to being the length of time a piece of food can stay on the floor and remain germ free!

Actually, I think that is the two second rule. So you can pick up the food within two seconds and have 8 left to bid your farewells!
