Have a happy weekend.

My darlings, what are you doing this weekend? Alex and I are rolling up our sleeves and going to a Sunday Suppers cooking class. (I can't wait to see their fabulous tabletops in person.) I'm also going to see 500 Days of Summer tonight. Meanwhile, here are a few great posts from around the web this week...

Kid-friendly thank-you notes.

Tiny houses on tiny islands.

Emma Watson is too cool for school.

It's a tissue...it's a flower...it's tissue flowers!

A rad-as-hell bedroom poster that glows in blacklight.

Skinamarinky Dinky Dink-inspired artwork. Genius.

A subtle braid and a vintage nurse's uniform? Portland is officially awesome.

Vintage jewelry.

Wedding photographer Max Wanger does it again.

The Little Mermaid's wish list.

Wheeeee!!!! A gorilla slide.

Lovely camera bags and woven necklaces.

Fast food made fancy. (Via VSL)

Love this blog's header and this schmoopy wedding photo.

Honey, I shrunk the bike helmet.

What a great idea to draw on plates with a porcelain pen.

A moment in Iceland.

Ouch! Models falling. Also, intense.

These DIY outdoor lighting make me wish I could do-it-myself.

Constellation wall art.

Wedding do or don't: Tossing the bouquet.

These bird vases are too cute.

Plus, three videos:

Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg get steamy.

My brother-in-law, who is a brain surgeon (seriously), sent this hilarious video.

And a SUPER cool video save-the-date. (Two former actors spliced together their reel footage, including a commercial they shot together with a fake wedding.)

Whew! That's all folks. Have a wonderful weekend.

God, I need a camera bag so bad! And I've been hearing about those emeras so much lately, I just might have to save up for one someday... They are definitely much nicer looking than actual camera bags.

This weekend I'm going yard saling and then geeking out with friends over the game Munchkin!

Gosh, that brain surgery video is hilarious!

I laughed so loud family members came to check on me. I read your brother-in-law's blog too (when he actually has time to post, that is) so it was even funnier knowing that he sent it to you.

thanks for sharing! x

Oh Joanna, what a week of delicious blogging. A particularly good round up to top off the reveal of your utterly exquisite dress choice, and breathtakingly pretty make-up and enchanting hair. So. very. perfect. This is English Rachel BTW, and all your matrimonial posts have me as excited for your impending nuptials as for my ever-more-imminent trip to NY. It's all too exciting for words. The hopeless romantic in me thrives on these posts. Anyway, thank you as always! Have a super-dandy weekend, lots of love, Rach

Oh, I love that video of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg -- so many warm sparklies! Only, now I wish I could run off to Venice for my weekend... Instead, I'll be sewing what promises to be my new favorite mini dress, making eggplant parmigiana, and cuddling with my sweetie under the stars on a big blanket in the backyard. (Well, that part happened last night, but that still counts as weekend, right?) Thanks for all the lovely links, and happy weekend to you too!

Toss your bouquet, but have a special one ready to toss. Don't use your wedding bouquet as you may wish to preserve it as a memento.

About tossing the bouquet... I did it at my wedding cuz it's fun and entertaining. If you have lots of single women at your wedding, do it! It's just for fun.
