Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my dad (far right). Whenever I think of hanging out with my dad, I think of hilarious moments. For example, when we went on family road trips, we kids would always have our noses buried in books, so whenever we'd drive by something beautiful, he'd simply yell, "View!" He also taught us the genius of big family lunches (with spicy soups) and adventurous bike rides. I love you. xo

P.S. Is my dad's wavy hair not totally rad?
P.P.S. Is my uncle wearing a top hat?
P. P.P.S. Is my grandfather wearing Groucho Marx glasses? (If so, awesome. If not, even awesomer.)

  4. That is a great photo! It had to have been taken in Europe somewhere because I can see a European license plate on the car everyone is leaning on and the building in the background looks sort of Italian. I just found your blog and I love it!

  10. My sister dug up old family pictures and the ones of my dad make me laugh. He's always so open to fun and laughter, he always wears a smile in pictures. I love that :)

And yes your dad's wavy hair was so very rad. About as rad as my dad's gigantic bell-bottoms (my grandma was a seamstress so he had her make them super-sized lol).

  14. I thought your grandfather must have been a Priest friend or an uncle who never got married....love the photo. we are on a cross country road trip now and I'm always pointing out things like the cows, and meadows of wild flowers to my kids who stare for a moment then drift back to sleep or start coloring again. good stuff.

  20. haha, orange sugar home, my grandfather was very married--with six kids! :) and my dad was one of six children--all of whom are pictured here with my grandmother (with the blonde bands) and my great-aunt rose (in the floral dress) who was my grandfather's sister.
