Australian wedding

The lavender and gray colors in Ros and Blake's Australian wedding are sort and beautiful--and don't you love her haircut? She looks like a countryside Amelie.

  18. I think blue hydrangeas look just awful in the ground (too flashy for my garden tastes) but they're so elegant and understated as a round bouquet. Who knew?

  36. Well it wasn't quite as close as four weeks - although my amazing dressmaker was still sewing the night before we left for St Albans, which is on an old trading route up to the Hunter Valley wine region of NSW.

The town is basically a pub and a courthouse (now accommodation). While there was definitely some tough points in organising a "destination" wedding in the country, I'm so so happy we did it. It's absolutely worth taking on some challenges and following through on your idea of what the perfect day would be. Then crossing your fingers!

Thank you all for the incredibly flattering and lovely comments, and to Cup of Jo - one of my favourite blogs and a daily hit of inspiration. Never thought I'd see my own face smiling back at me from the computer screen!

It was so funny reading your blog everyday as I do - then coming across this. I was taking it all in just like everyone else and admiring all the loveliness (in the lead up to my own wedding) when all of a sudden I realised I knew the groom. We dated a few times way back when!
