Fashion Inspiration: Red Skirt

As much as I love wearing T-shirts and jeans, I'm going to try my best to branch out this summer. I'm inspired by this pretty girl in her red skirt. Isn't she lovely?

  4. I agree! I'm such a jeans and t kind of girl and I have all of these lovely things hanging in my closet but the uniform always wins for some reason. I think this will be the summer I actually break away...and with this lovely ensemble as inspiration hopefully it won't be too hard for me!

  6. nice, stylish but simple red skirt ensemble. throwing on a dress/skirt in the morning seems so tedious to me; however, over the past few months, i've convinced myself that wearing pretty needs to be a bigger part of my life. it's becoming such a joy to throw on a great dress in the morning. it's light, sweet, freeing, and beautiful.

  11. I love how comfy this outfit looks, but so chic at the same time. I love flowy dresses and skirts, especially in the summer. so easy to throw on but you look like you actually tried!

  14. I've definitely made an effort to branch out and wear more skirts and dresses. I just need to get over my mental block that skirts and dresses are only for work and not for the weekend.

  18. I just saw this on Frolic! I saved the image to my desktop so I can copy her later. Honestly, I'm not one for color, but I love the red skirt.

I am going shopping this weekend and plan on loading up on lots of colorful dresses and skirts - not only are they cooler (literally - more breeze!!) ;) - but they're a feminine alternative to wearing shorts and capris ALL SUMMER. (And in Texas, all summer means from March until October) :)

  54. Love color, especially red and also love the ease of wearing skirts, you can go anywhere in them and never feel under or overdressed. Also, here in AZ skirts keep you cool!!
