Pretty bedroom.

Diana of the jewels of new york has such a peaceful bedroom. Her bed is white because, she says, "I want to feel like I’m waking up on a cloud every morning." And she couldn't find the right soft blue paint, so she layered white paint over vivid blue. What a nice place to call home. (I also love the topiary!)

P.S. The coolest surprise party ever on Smitten...

  5. Ahhhh, very serene. This bedroom paints a beautiful picture of a very relaxing saturday: sleep in until the sun wakes you up, coffee in bed (preferably made and brought to yuo by your sweetie), then perhaps a leisurely bike ride to the park.

  8. I love the simplicity of the room, the white the hint of green from the tree and the picture between the window. It is so serene. This post and the photo has inspired me to change my bed covers from my springy mint to pure white linens.

  14. I saw this and other bedroom photos on Design*Sponge and this photo was by far my favorite. There's something about the cool colors, the soft, rumpled sheets, and the coffee and bike waiting to be enjoyed that just do it for me. The topiary brings a little bit of the English garden indoors. All it's missing is a haphazard pile of books on the windowsill. But it's pretty close to perfect. Waking up to this on a bright Spring morning would be heaven.

  30. I do love this room, and it makes me realize how much stuff I have in mine. This looks so nice with just the two little prints on the wall and the one little flower in the window- so pretty. And I agree with the others that the bicycle seems to go so well. I never thought I'd like a bicycle in a bedroom.

My one question is: where do all the clothes go? lol

  34. Very peaceful indeed!
I think I'd go crazy with too plain walls though. I'd hang one larger piece of art between those windows, I think... Although I kind of envy those who can keep it so simple!

I THINK you might like my photographs, art & stationery..?

  53. Gift a sweet dream
Personalised bedding has become extremely popular lately. And, why not? It helps your friends and loved ones keep you in mind every single night before they turn in. Imagine sending your parents covers with your photo on it. Family members just go gaga over such stuff. Sending out signature pillowcases, dream holiday memories etched on sheets, digital photos etc just makes not your own day but weeks and months for your loved ones. Personalised bedding with any amount of text, special love messages or sweet, naughty jokes for family members and friends make great gifts and sweet dreams. Nothing like going down memory lane with a personalised bedsheet and chatting cosily into the night with the warmth of memories keeping you tucked in comfortably. Personalised bedding can be arranged for all occasions and for all age-groups. You can even have personalised bedding gifts for corporate use with logos and themes defining the company vision. Personalised bedding with quotations that inspire you are great too. As you drift off, the positive thoughts stay with you and charge you up for another big day. Personalised bedding can be used for long-term stay in hotels for old clients as well. Nothing more charming to bring them back again and again!

  55. Okay, this one is one of the best design ideas I was able to search today. We're doing a redesign of our home in Lakeland, and I want to keep the traditional hardwood flooring for my bedroom. I like the simplicity of this idea.
