In nine days, Alex and I will be taking a much anticipated trip to...PARIS!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to walk around the city and take notes on gorgeous French style. We're taking a dorky but awesome-looking bike tour, and we've both been dreaming about croissants and chocolate mousse. Also, I'd love to have a picnic in the Luxembourg Gardens, and Alex wants us to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower, even though I'm scared of elevators. I will take tons of photos to show you!
So, I'm feeling the urge to buy clothes for the trip (do you ever get that, too?), so while I haven't bought anything for ages, yesterday I splurged on these white jeans. I like that the style is called "toothpick."(Top photo via Lolita)

Oh that is so exciting! Are you going to try frogs legs? And have a picnic with baguettes in the park with a big checkered picnic blanket!
ReplyDeletei am thinking that it must be hard to live in nyc and be afraid of elevators... when i was there, i was always wary of traveling to brooklyn because i'm scared of going on the subway under water!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Have so much fun!!!! That sounds like such a romantic getaway! And I have those jeans and love them!!! Well, pre-pregnancy anyway! Now all you need is a horizontal striped shirt and a beret! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the jeans...I could never wear them :(
ReplyDeleteBut the shoes are even better!
OMG, you are going to looooove Paris! Just eat crepes and croissants the whole time! LOL... mmmmm... i'm so jealous! I want to go back now!
ReplyDeleteWe just got back from Paris a week or so ago ... you'll have an amazing time. Can't wait to hear about your adventures!
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend you make it to the best falafel place on earth, Las du Falafel. We still dream about it at least once a week.
ReplyDeleteIt is in the Marais...here is your map: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=las+du+falafel&ie=UTF8&ll=48.857995,2.359035&spn=0.008174,0.018518&t=h&z=16&iwloc=A
Bon voyage!
Leigh
congratulations, that is so exciting for you both! i expect lots of pictures (and plenty of you in stripes).
ReplyDeleteyou will truly have the time of your life! lucky, lucky girl! paris in the spring time!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on heading for Gay Paree!
ReplyDeleteI was there in January and completely fell in love with the city, and except for the tower you will have no hassle with elevators in the city of lights... everyone takes the stairs :)
O what fun! I am jealous. I can't wait to hear how it goes and see your pictures.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to wear a beret, hold a baguette and wander around Monmartre.
ReplyDeletethat is awesome! i can't wait to visit for the first time in july! i might have to hit you up for some tips.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Paris is an amazing city to just walk around and explore. Be sure to go to BHV and stock up on all sorts of frenchie things.
ReplyDeleteI'm the dorkiest tourist ever, so I always love the big tourist spots. Montmartre, The Louvre, Versailles, Champs et Lysee, the Garnier Opera (my favorite hotel is right across the street from there!)
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to go back there right now! Have a blast!
Have a blast! I went a few weeks ago (and bought a trench in advance, which I never ended up wearing there). Make sure to get a crepe from a street vendor, drink lots of champagne, and buy macarons galore. If you happen to be in the area, the bar at Mama Shelter is amazing.
ReplyDeleteomg! im headed that way end of month too! also, just bought a couple pieces at jcrew and anthro for our trip! have fun!!
ReplyDeleteluv your blog.
Valeria
eeek I am so jealous!! How dang exciting. You will be the most fabulous lady in Paris, for sure.
ReplyDeleteOh la la, Paris, c'est magnifique! Have a great time!
ReplyDeletei'm so excited for you! yeah definitely I would think about what I'll wear on my holiday and purchase if necessary (which is most of the time eh?)
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend renting bikes (about 5 Euros) outside of the Gardens of Versailles. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYay! How wonderful, Joanna!!! Ooh I love Luxembourg gardens. The bike tour sounds so cool.
ReplyDeleteLove Paris and I am so jealous. I took the same bike tour! I went by myself at the time, and it was a lot of fun. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time. I am currently in Paris and it is quite warm.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty to visit. You will have an amazing time
Wow! You will have so much fun, be sure to visit the Galleria Lafayette while you are there too. And Versailles if you get the chance, its remarkable. And totally understand the urge to shop for your trip! New vacations always call for new wardrobe pieces. :) I am going to Cartagena next week and all I can do is think of buying long tropical maxi-dresses :)
ReplyDeleteHow WONDERFUL for you!! Paris is the the most magical city. :-) Be sure to stop by Chez Hanna on Rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais for the best falafel of your life!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great in Spring! Have an awesome trip and add Versailles Gardens to your picnic places list.
ReplyDeleteThe elevators in the tower are more like buses. You can just be surrounded by people and not even go near the window if you want to. But they are kind of cool because the elevator track curves along the tower's legs. Anyway, my big regret is not renting the boats at Versailles and floating on the palace ponds like the kings used to. And I also missed the horse show at the palace stables. And you can plan your whole trip with the metro online map and schedule. I was traveling with Stan, a 76-year-old man whose house we bought the month before. He had never left the U.S., so I took him on my honeymoon since my husband had to work.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time! I was there in March. Great local flare restaurant to try - Le Taxi Jaune. 13 Rue Chapon between Rue Beaubourg & Rue de Temple. One of the designers I work with recommended and it was great.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! So excited for you! We were in Paris last summer and a picnic in the Luxembourg Gardens is amazing and so romantic! It's one of my best memories. We also had a picnic on the grounds at Versailles as well. Can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing! I do get the urge to shop before going on hols, but try to resist and save my pennies for shopping while I'm there. You're going to have a whale of a time!
ReplyDeleteah! have so much fun you two!
ReplyDeleteHi I go to paris very often you should go to the cementery of Pere-Lachaise, its very interesting and beutiful full of trees 44 acres.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog
www.blogdljr.blogspot.com
OMG! You lucky girl, you! I was in Paris last summer and fell in love w/ the city. Have a fabulous time & eat lots & lots of pain au chocolat! And take tons of photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Paris someday :)
ReplyDeleteOhh sounds so much fun! And, I totally want those jeans. I love them!
ReplyDeletei'm soooo jealous! this was where eddie and i were going to go on our honeymoon! but now we are being prudent and saving to move to a cheaper, bigger place in brooklyn instead. enjoy every moment!!!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm... the croissants, the food, the scenery. My trip there several years ago with my fiance was soooo romantic. The memories of that time keep us warm now that we are married with small children and don't do "romantic getaways" for now!
ReplyDeleteHere's my advice: curb some of that shopping impulse now so that you can indulge it when you get there!!!
Happy travels Joanna! Sounds like a dream vacation. Love the jeans - I have a similar pair I bought last summer (Paige).
ReplyDeleteJoanna,
ReplyDeleteaHHH, can i go along in your suitcase? i miss Paris so much! Promise me you will pack a baguette, cheese, chocolate & a bottle of vino -- a blanket and a candle -- and go the the Eiffel tower at NIGHT. Just lay on the lawn in front of the tower and soak in the amazingness. It's so romantic and beautiful all lit up and sparkling. I promise it's worth going at night more so than the day. HAVE so much fun!
How funny - I'm going to Paris in 8 days for a girl's weekend with my 3 best girlfriends. I'll keep an eye out for you two! :)
ReplyDeleteone of my favorite memories is eating fresh crepes under the eiffel tower, just as the lights started to sparkle...
ReplyDeletethe museums are amazing too, not just the louvre! one of my favorites is the musee rodin, on the left bank. no one ever goes there and it has amazing sculptures and grounds.
bon voyage a paris! hope you have a magical trip.
Oh & I did the Fat Tire Bike tour & loved it!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll echo what someone else said - you should definitely get a Falafel at L'as du Falafel. I had one last summer & it was amazing!!
Have fun!! I loved Paris when I went there. If you hate elevators, you can always take the stairs up the Eiffel Tower...but it takes a while. And hurts the legs. :)
ReplyDeleteoh, I'm so jealous! that is going to be an amazing trip! I know I would OD on croissants for sure :) I can't wait to see the pictures you'll take. and yes, whenever I am getting ready for a vacation I always feel the need to buy new clothes! so bad, but at least your splurge can be worn again even after the trip. and those jeans are so classic!
ReplyDeleteOh I'll be there at the same time visiting my family and friends, maybe I'll see you having your picnic in a romantic Parc (I like parc Monceau too, because Luxembourg, not too many areas where you can actually sit on the grass!).. Definitely try L'As du Falafel, well and so many more! Have fun! xx
ReplyDeleteI see some others said take the stairs, and I agree. Yes, it's a work out, but you really get to take in the views as your working your behind! Have a wonderful time, and eat a crepe for me!
ReplyDeleteOh that is fabulous! You can now experience the wonderful life of France that I have been so fortunate to live for the past few months with my boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteParis is simply amazing you will fall in love with the place!
Make sure you go to Laduree on champs elysees - amazing!!
Bisous
It's all make believe isn't it?
I live in Paris and absolutely love it! I agree with the suggestions to try L'As du Falafel in the Marais. Also try the tea shop in the same area - Le Loi dans le Theiere.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is lovely just now. Hope you have a great time!
I'so excited about your trip to Europe. I was in Paris last summer. If you want to see Museum d'Orsay, choose thursday. It's half price entry and opening till 10 p.m. And for Louvre the best day is Friday for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteBonus: http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-sightseeing/paris-in-1-2-or-3-days/guide/paris-in-1-2-or-3-days_the-essentials
thank you so much for all your amazing tips!!!
ReplyDeleteone more tip Joanna, eat lots of Croissant & coffee...deeleesss*
ReplyDeleteThat's so exciting!! You definitely deserve some new clothes to make your Parisian debut :)
ReplyDeletep.s. You will fall in love with the baguette sandwiches, so don't fight the urge!
I love SANDRO, in the Marais (3rd Arrondissement) - a LOVELY clothing store. I have a few dresses from them. HIGHLY recommend!
ReplyDeleteOoh la la...love in Paris is the best. I had the best experiences in Paris. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have been going CRAZY with white lately. I am so excited for spring/summer, and my wardrobe definitely shows it. I recently bought white shorts, white cropped pants, white jeans...it's getting ridiculous. I have to stop! :)
Have fun in Paris!
Can you take me with you? I'd be happy to even stowaway in an oversized suitcase. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, I've been following it for a long time but have never commented! I'll be in Paris in a week too! Check out this chick's blog:
ReplyDeletehttp://sendingpostcards.wordpress.com/
She has a bunch of posts on Paris and awesome details/pictures. I want to go everywhere she did.
I hope you have a great time and maybe we'll run into each other!
so jealous!!! take me with you!! i can't wait to hear about your adventures and fashion tips!!
ReplyDeleteOh, how great! Paris is lovely this time of the year. You must make it to London one of these trips, too you know! ;)
ReplyDeleteMay I also recommend this http://www.doitinparis.com/ for inspiration and insider tips for whilst you're in Paris! Have a wonderful, romantic time!
wow nice jeans, and j crew too! I was expecting to find them super shmancy and far too expensive, I might just be picking myself up a pair of these
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky! ;) Paris with the man you love? Couldn't get more perfect than that!
ReplyDeleteWe went on the very same bike tour last summer and it was a BLAST! There is free wine on the ferry trip at the end, and the guides are all super-fun! Have a blast!
ReplyDeletei love love love those jcrew jeans. i'm sure they'll look adorable on you joanna! have fun in paris! i get to spend a few hrs on layover in the paris airport this summer and i'm excited just to even do that haha
ReplyDeleteoh i am BEYOND jealous! have a fabulous fabulous time.
ReplyDelete(PS - i just bought those exact same jeans. i LOVE them)
Eeee! How exciting! Is this like a pre-wedding honeymoon?
ReplyDeleteI always wind up shopping before a trip - and always pack my favorite outfits to wear every single day. I can't wait to see all the pics!
I think you were born there, no? Perhaps my memory is not so good. Would advise against any more than necessary purchases before you leave. A great friend just brought me some terrific, classic black heels that were far nicer (Italian, but of course) & less expensive than similar ones here. Though heels, they are classic so easily walked in...they will be very useful every single day, esp. in DC.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, & sitting in my striped shirt, good haircut, & working on my taxes while shouting to the cat to answer the door, already:
Jo, Have a super time...there's Paris, & then there's Paris. You can do both. Pls do go off the well-beaten, over-done, cloying path.
You can do a lot of "French" stuff anywhere in the world. There are some things that are Paris & can be done in about three minutes. OK, that's why the cranky "old" lady doesn't come 'round much anymore. I don't "heart" enough, I suppose. But I do "heart" you.
(If any time, re-rent/rent a Jeanne Moreau film before you go...now there's style--at any age.)
ciao, bella
svs
Oooo, PARIS! I am so jealous! Are you planning on visiting any markets? I can't get those Kari Herer images of the flowers int he market out of my head. You will have to take tons of pics for us so that we can live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have those white jeans, and they are the best! Not see through at all and really tough. Good choice!
I LOVE Paris! You MUST go to the top of the Eiffel tower. It's worth the scary elevator ride. And, yes, I also get inspired to buy new clothes before a big trip :)
ReplyDeleteI so love Paris for the fact that you can simply sit in a cafe for hours and soak in the atmosphere and blend right in. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI went to Forever 21 and bought a bunch of stuff before taking off for Paris and it was all perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteMatchstick jeans are definitely IN, in Paris...maybe painted-on is a better way to put it.
But white? I don't know...
Jeans are bigger in Paris than NYC but they are always jean-like IMO.
On verra bien as they say..
Bon voyage!
Cafe de l'industrie 16 rue Saint Sabin in the 11th. (Metro Bastille or Breguet-Sabin) There was an adorable small black cat frequenting the premises when I was there! And my meal was delicious.
ReplyDeleteLe Fumoir, right near the louvre - great for high tea around 3 or drinks at night.
A bit touristy but delicious - Laduree for pastries/tea. http://www.laduree.fr/
You will LOVE the Marais! And good lord, eat as many macarons and crepes as possible!
thank you thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteThese jeans are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a dreamy splendid time in France.
cheers!
I loved Paris, you will have so much fun! There are, quite literally, people walking through the streets eating baguettes. And it's amazing to see everybody and their style - they put so much more effort into themselves. And you definitely have to have pains aux chocolat, as well as tons of crepes. I hope you like creme fraiche, because it's everywhere! Luckily, I love it. :) I also ate more croissants than I've ever eaten in my life. And definitely go up the Eiffel tower! I'm also scared of elevators, but it was the experience of a lifetime. I also recommend a cruise down the Seine at night. It's absolutely stunning, and a real treat. Plus, it boasts a spectacular view of the Eiffel tower at night, which is so gorgeous when lit up (minus the light show, which is awe inspiring, certainly, but also a little tacky...)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!! so excited for you!! I'm going to Paris as well in June, also taking the dorky bike tour =D Let us know how you like the tour! are you doing the night tour or the day tour?
ReplyDeletewhite jeans would be fabulous, but it may rain a lot in Paris around this time. Plus you can always do something shopping there :)
how exciting! i can only be so jealous - last week i booked my ticket for may :)
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful time! you can find all of my paris favs in my guide:
http://www.designspongeonline.com/2009/02/paris-design-guide.html
bon voyage!!!
anne
I am so excited for you and Alex! If ever a time in your life to tackle your fear of elevators, taking one to the top of the Eiffel Tower would be it. Dorky or not, traveling around Paris by bike sounds delightful to me (I embrace my inner dork). Love the white jeans.

ReplyDeleteI was just in Paris in December with my boyfriend. It was the most romantic trip of my life. Paris is so beautiful! It felt magical the entire time we were there! We didn't make it to the top of the Eifel Tower but we later regretted it, so go for it!
ReplyDeleteGo to Hotel Du Nord if you get a chance. http://www.hoteldunord.org/english.html
It was a really fun restaurant equipped with dancing waiters and delicious food! We had a blast here!
make sure you'll pop in the new sort of charity concept store, ultra trendy, called Merci (11 boulevard Beaumarchais). you'll love it!
ReplyDeleteand if it's sunny, go have lunch at the "Marché des enfants rouges". It's unique (not so much for the food itself but for the atmosphere)
Oh Paris...I was supposed to go there this past summer with my mom (the advice being to make your first visit to Paris to be with someone who will love you forever)...but then my little brother got sick.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time - it seems like such a beautiful place!
ohhh, Paris, lovely. :) make sure you get at least one noisette coffee in some cafe in the sunshine. have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteoh em geeeee i am so jeal! eat some macarons for me : )
ReplyDeleteSounds amazing! I like the jeans too, although I can never wear white pants because I am so spill prone. Come back with lots of awesome pictures and stories!
ReplyDelete~Amanda
http://onehappypanda.blogspot.com
Have a great time! Can't wait to see the pics. Love to you both.
ReplyDeleteI just went last week over spring break with my mother.
ReplyDeleteDefinitly watch the sunset from pont neuf (from the guide) it was beautiful. We only had two days in Paris so we made sure to get that one thing done from the list.
Then there is a lovely little cafe on the side opposite the henry statue where you can have a chocolate chaud or creme brulee and by the time you get out you can see the Eiffel tower sparkel in the night.
Thanks for referencing the guide in an earlier post, it was perfect.
And have fun!
have fun in paris!
ReplyDeleteby far my favorite city in the world!
Oh yes, I just got my first real job and am already plotting to reward myself with an amazing pencil skirt!
ReplyDeleteJealous of your trip to Paris..
Oooh, why has everyone else been to all the good places. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThose white pants are so lovely. If only I had the long legs. I'd have to roll them to mid calf.
I'm so jealous! My husband and I would love to go to Paris, but I'm completely paranoid about being that far away from my kids while they're so little.
ReplyDeletePost lots and lots of pics, so I can see it through your adventure!
Have a BLAST!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go to Rue de Rosiers for falafels. It's one of my favorite streets, and the falafals are better than those in NYC.
;)
So jealous of your Paris trip. I am sure you will have a blast especially in those jeans:)
ReplyDeleteParis- how fun! DEFINITELY go to Refuge de Fondues! Such a great place! It is so funny to see everyone drinking wine out of baby bottles! And the fondue is delish. Rue Moufftard is a really cute street. Great restaurants, shops and people watching. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteWhen you're there, look for graffiti made out of tiles in the shape of space invaders! They're all over, and it's SO fun to spot them!! If you want more info I can send you pics :) (I know it sounds a little confusing just like that)
ReplyDeleteI've been twice for a total of 5 nights. I HARDLY have the time to shop - so much to see.
ReplyDeleteI made my own walking tour past famous writers and artists apartments.
Rue de la Hutchette is great for crepes and check by jowl people watching and street food.
The book sellers along the Seine are great for antiques and prints.
There's a place on St. Andres des Arts that sell cool Pylone kitchen accessories.
Have a nice time, JO.
That's part of the fun of a trip is planning the wardrobe! Really love the white slim jeans. Magnifique!
ReplyDeleteScary going to the top of the E.T., but you'll be thrilled.
Don't you smell the croissants now?
How exciting! Havent been to Paris but its one of my must visits! Yes, buying new wardrobe definitely is tops when we have trips planned.. And I must admit, I also start dieting so I could look better in pictures! Vain I know! -dee
ReplyDeleteHi Jo,
ReplyDeleteI'll be goin on a trip to paris (and also rome, venice, florence, london and scotland...phew) in june...and I'm so excited...Got a lot of tips for paris here, thanks to your readers...I hope you have the loveliest time and do tell us all about it when you return:)And yes, I've been planning my trip outfits months ahead!!

ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous trip, Joanna! Those white jeans are perfection and yes, you should always shop prior to ANY trip! *wink, wink*!
ReplyDeleteAu revoir!
oooh, yay! you guys are going to have such a great time. paris in the springtime!!! the jeans are fab. i can't wait to see your photos and hear your stories!
ReplyDeleteI went on that same bike tour! It was great, our tour guide knew so many random interesting facts about the French royal family and Versailles. Are you going on the one in Versailles? I'm so excited for you!
ReplyDeleteI went on that same dorky bike tour too! We went on the night one and I'll never forget how magical it felt to be biking around i.m. pei's pyramid outside the louvre under the streetlights. have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I was going to Paris in 9 days! Lucky girl, make sure you have coffee in Cafe Deux Magots in St. Germain, it's a literary classic cafe, all the famous writers sipped their coffee there! Have a fantastic trip
ReplyDeleteI was *just* browsing ebay for white jeans... It's in the air!
ReplyDeleteThat's so exciting, you are going to have so much fun! The matchstick jeans from J.Crew are the best :)
ReplyDeleteJo! Macarons (or something else delectable) at Laduree on the Champs Eleysses. It's the most beautiful patisserie I have ever seen- everything, from the decor, to the pastries, to the carry bags- is just exquisite. You will love it.
ReplyDeleteBon Voyage!
"Eleysses"? Elysees. "Hello, my name is Rachael and I'm a big anglo tourist."
ReplyDeleteBonjour from Paris! I'm an American food writer living here, after 3 years in NYC. Fat Tires is a great company, ask for the manager Lisa, she is a good friend of mine. If you are in the 6th and love good wine, I'll share my favorite address with you. It is gorgeous here right now, colorful ballet flats and white jeans are everywhere! Have a great trip. Best, Wendy Lyn wendy-lyn.com
ReplyDeleteBonjour je suis parsienne and I just discovered this nice website : http://www.doitinparis.com/ and also you will probably enjoy this one too : http://www.mylittleparis.com/.

Amandine.
mm! i've been dying to buy a pair of white jeans! those are gorg!
ReplyDeletedefinitely wait till you get to paris - drop some big bucks there!
I just got back from Paris on Monday and it was amazing. I had been before, but this was my first time with a man (my fiance, no less, I am getting married in just over a week!) Make sure you go up to Montmartre - I think the Parisians think it is cheesy but we loved it! The weather was gorgeous last weekend and we did a picnic in Place de Vosges with champagne. I think it was more official because we collected our picnic items from each individual store (boulangerie, charcuterie, fromagerie, etc) Also, you don't need to ride the elevator up the eiffel tower, just take the stairs! You get the best view from the first level and it is only around 300+ stairs. Have a great time!

ReplyDeleteI noticed some of your other readers do as well, but I live in Paris (and post sometimes on Smitten as millianjarie). I live right by the Eiffel Tower, it'd be a good idea for you guys to grab a baguette, some cheese, and wine and picnic at the park there à la parisien. I agree that you should check out Montmartre, especially on a Sunday, sit up by the Sacré Coeur, there's usually someone playing live music (like a sing along!) and doing crazy acrobatic things with soccer (I mean foot) balls.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll have an amazing time, my boyfriend was here about a month ago and he/we LOVED it -- definitely the most fun I've had in the four years I've been here.
If you want any more tips about places to go/insider stuff, just leave me a comment.
Je vous souhaite un très bon voyage!
Is soo jealous! I have to wait till july to go there.
ReplyDeleteEveryone but me seems to be going to Paris now ...It makes me sad :(

I am currently living in Paris and keep a blog with random adventures and some of the best sights I have encountered in my 7 months here. Have a lovely vacation! The weather has been beautiful lately.
ReplyDeletewww.tamarainparis.blogspot.com
Joanna, I happen to own those jeans (my very first pair of white denim - ooh, la la!) and they are terrific. The fit is impeccable. If I had one complaint, it's that I don't like the shape of the back pockets. But maybe I'm spoiled in the denim department.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - PARIS! Have a GREAT time. We can't wait to hear and see all about it :)
Ooooh Paris, lala! I'm actually heading off on a day trip on Tuesday (from London) - my challenge is to spend a whole day there without spending any Euros! So hard!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to hearing about your trip.
oh god you'll LOVE it! i'm going back in july. i don't think i'm brave enough to do that bike ride tour though!
ReplyDeletenice! thanks for posting jordan's paris guide. i'm going in june so this is great! if you don't mind me asking, where are you staying in paris? or does anyone know of a nice place to stay that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?? THANK YOU!

i'm going with my dad and we're going to do a bike tour to versailles and giverny...and hopefully a one day trip to london!
have fun and i can't wait for pictures!
Sounds like so much fun! Enjoy. I'm coming to NYC next Friday and I'm excited for that! Those jeans are awesome. I want them.
ReplyDeleteRecommend the Eiffel Tower at night. After wine and cheese on the lawn (will make the elevator much easier I think) and right before they close so as not to have to stand in line. Plus the city looks amazing all lit up. Granted I have an affinity for cityscapes at night. Also Rick Steves recommends only going to the, second floor (I think it's the second floor) as the view is actually better when you're not so far up. I would agree. Did I already say this, or has another of my followed blogs booked time in Paris? Anyway, have an amazing time.

ReplyDeleteI studied abroad in Paris last year and am going back in a few weeks for a wedding! You will love it. I have to recommend getting gelato from Amorino's. It's on Rue de la Huchette in the latin quarter, across from Notre Dame, there's several others scattered throughout the city too. It's going to be my first stop when I get there in May. You won't regret it : )

梵,
wow, I barely remember my trip to paris. I just know it started with a high budget exception, and after some on-line search (like LastMinuteTravel) it ended with a wallet which happily agreed to help me to spend on some new designer's clothes :)
ReplyDeleteAs much as I think Paris is amazing, it's Barcelona that I went crazy for.
