  10. I watched Rachel Getting Married last week, too.

It is a good movie! I love that it's a movie about getting married that's actually realistic (my sister, oddly also named Kim, is shockingly similar to the Kym in the movie).

  15. I am lucky enough to be able to say that we stayed in a cottage in the scottish highlands in 2000. One of THE best holidays of my life. Log fires at night while we played cards by candlelight, sheep in the front garden, watching a barn owl hunt at night. Sigh. really recommend that you all do it!

  29. Mmm, white white white and more beautiful.

I love those lamps, in the bottom right corner. I always want to get them and then find out that they are so uber expensive. Except I repress that everytime I find out and continue to disappoint myself each time I look for them.

Sounds like a fantastic holiday, yes. I will now have to accrue more than then 21 hours of holiday that I currently have.

  30. Ahem, Joanna: Cold, rainy, windy, limited groceries I'm sure, so you'd have to eat tinned spam every day. Mmm, probably weird locals as well and definitely no Internet. Love the cottage though, can we move it somewhere else?!

  68. I live in Scotland so I really can't imagine it being anybody's ideal holiday location! It pishes down every single day, the sky is always grey, everywhere smells, the people are rude and scary and there are absolutely no nice men! Everybody's fat and ginger and spotty and sweaty and leers at you like you're meat for the picking or scowls at you like you're scum. Seriously it's yuck.

    ReplyDelete
  69. ...I have stayed there. One of the most heavenly weeks of my life. Seriously.

Go if you can! It's very simple, and remote...to me, complete bliss.

And hey {leineypie} - Scotland is a fantastic place with brilliant people, in my experience {being a Scot and all though, I am bound to say that} But the sun is shining today ;))!
