Fiances are funny.

Wedding planning with Alex is really fun. For example, when we talk about negotiating, he says things like, "I wouldn't mind running it up the old flag pole to see if they salute."

    PS--In my own defense, I should tell your readers that I use corny old-fashioned slang like that in the most ironic fashion...or try to, anyway. I don't want to come off like the square frat-boy fiance in "The Graduate," who tells Elaine Robinson when he engages, "I think we'd make a pretty good team."

  21. You guys are the cutest. In two weeks my fiance and I are headed to Cedar Key to line up a minister, wedding & reception venue (hopefully a lovely private house on the marsh/gulf with big trees), find a caterer, etc. We will have a little wedding planning vacation. I'm so excited!
