This week, Alex and I watched Surfwise, which tells the story of Dorian Paskowitz and his wife Juliette, who drove their nine children around in a camper and made them surf all day. It was a surprising and thought-provoking film, and I'd put it up there with Deep Water, Man on Wire and American Teen as one of the best documentaries in recent years. Have you seen it?

Gustafson Porter created this balloon canopy for the Venice Architectural Biennale, using just helium balloons and shade cloths. Wouldn't it be amazing for an outdoor party? You'd just have to hope it wasn't windy...

For some reason, I haven't posted about home design in ages, but I was thrilled to stumble upon this lovely place yesterday. Isn't it the perfect balance of bright white and cheery color?

This wedding at City Hall in San Francisco was beautiful. She looks like an elegant 1940's bride in her veil. I have been eyeing a similar one on etsy for a while. What do you guys think? xo

I'm loving these jam flavors from Lemon Bird -- such as orange and dark chocolate with cardamom; fig with honey and cinnamon, and cherry with honey and balsamic vinegar. They all sound so delicious! Perfect last-minute Christmas presents for the person who has everything, methinks.... xoxo

Here's why Denmark is awesome: Denmark has topped the World's Happiest People surveys for the past 20 years. They buy more candles than any other nation. Eighty percent of Copenhagen's cyclists continue to ride through the Copenhagen winter. Rad all around.
