One week
It's been a week since the election results, and I'm still so excited, I smile every time I think about Obama winning.
Ok, this is my last political post! From now on, we'll get back to our regular programming of underwear, bicycles and puppies. :)

I still have to pinch myself to believe it. I think it's amazing that Chicago is getting such a shout out through all this, Obama and now Rahm Emanuel. It's all so wonderful and makes me proud to be an American and a Chicagoan! :)

I find myself doing the same thing. I wake up and think to myself-- President Obama and break out in a big grin. I'm nearly 48 and this is the first time I've felt this optimistic about a new president.
I'm still on cloud 9 about it too! At church Sunday you should have heard the music and the energy - so celebratory! - aside from one very sad prayer about california and proposition 8.

As Jon Stewart said, after the election he would go down the street and people were having eye contact and grinning! I am still grinning, too.
I feel the same way, and i am not even American. I am an Italian living in Dublin and you have no idea how much people have been cheering for Obama over this side of the world.. I have watched his victory's speach twice and got goose pumps :) i might be even developing a crush on him hee hee

I know, right? Over on my blog I was trying to get political, too. And then there was...the incident. It sent me over the edge and I just had to post about it. And once I got started. Well...you understand. But I'm going to try to leave it alone until January 20th. Except for this: Yes. We did.

Yes, President Obama (I'll never get tired of pairing those words) is definitely one of the foxiest commanders-in-chief in our nation's history.;-) His election has created this wave of palpable joy, like a huge weight has been lifted and we can all breathe again. For the first time in almost a decade, people feel safe, unified, happy, and heard, which is why we're all grinning at each other in the streets. We finally have something worth smiling about...a leader committed to real, sustainable change...a leader who represents our collective values, needs, and priorities.
