Puddle Jumpers
Speaking of jumping, I bought my first pair of puddle-jumping rain boots (in navy) yesterday! The guy at the shop told me that when he got his first pair, he couldn't believe he had waited so long. "What was I doing for all those thirty years?" he laughed. "Just dodging and jumping and hating it. Now I love the rain."
For the first time ever, I'm looking forward to a downpour.

My rainboots involve a cute story of my first date with my current boyfriend. It was the end of March and there was this random crazy snowstorm. I was hanging out with a friend when it happened and we were walking around Brooklyn until I had to leave for my date. I completely ruined and soaked my leather boots I was wearing, so I had to buy these big black rainboots to change into, but had no time to go home and change before our date! So I showed up to the movie theater in them and told him how embarrassed I was, and he said I looked cute in them. They're so ugly but I can't bare to get rid of them because of their sentimental value!
So funny because I was literally JUST saying how I need a new pair of rainboots. I bought my first pair before college and it was the BEST purchase ever - I wore them so often that I completely wore them out. Enjoy your new ones!

I love rainboots although I haven't owned one for myself in a long time. I should get them because we get ton of afternoon storm here.. I buy cute wellies for my girls all the time - they are sing pink rainboots right now:)
I haven't had rainboots in years but when I was kid, I was always jumping in puddles. Maybe I will have to get a pair.
Have you heard of these things called Shuellas? They were all over the British press last week as the next big thing from the States - you're supposed to wear them OVER your high heeled shoes. I'm not convinced; I wrote about them here:

I love rainboots! I bought a pair at the Marc Jacobs store on Melrose (in LA) last year. I can't wait for it to rain! I've also heard Hunter rainboots are really good.

So cute...I wish that I had a need for rain boots but since we only get serious rain a few times a year here in CO I put my $$ towards cute snow boots! But I would love a bright colored boot someday...

I just got a pair of cute Ed Hardy "Rainie" rainboots that have a tatoo-inspired print on them, along with pink pompoms! Of course it snows more than rains here in Bend, Oregon, but I'm going to wear them anyway.

I have verrrrryyy indulgent rain boots from Tod's. They cost more than any pair of shoes I've ever owned, but I LOVE them and they were worth every penny. They used to get me random compliments on the New York subway! That's some rain boot power! :)

I hop skipped over and found your blog somehow? sorry forget from where and your first post - I was just telling the mini-diva's we had to get them some since the weather is getting wetter and the grounds are hideous between buildings and campuses that they have to walk through each day.
We are puddle jumpers from way back- people used to think I was nuts for letting them play in the rain but as long as there was no lightening it was good cheap fun entertainment.
Thanks for the reminder- I have a short attention span and had forgotten about needing them yet again. :)

Yes! I have a fantastic pair of black boots with rock 'n roll tattoos on them. They are amazing. I actually bought them at an equally amazing store in Vancouver, BC called Gumdrops. I wrote a story about them for the style section of Canada's national newspaper and did a video on them at my blog because the store is such a fresh concept!

My Hunter Wellingtons are incredible. I have a pair of forest green ones that I live in during the fall, winter, and spring... basically any season I can get away with it.

Nothing beats my very first pair of red rain boots when i was little. I loved (and still do) jumping in puddles and was spoiled enough to live in such a rainy city like vancouver. I now have a pair of paisley boots.

I got rain boots last year and I simply don't know how I lived with out them. I think I literally turn into a six year old when it rains, it makes jumping in puddles so much fun!
I've never owned rain boots, and I'm not sure why. I've always done the "dodge and jump and hate it" approach, which seems so silly when there are so many cute rain boots out there. I will have to break down and get some eventually.
I so want a pair of these. They must be good as we are coming into Summer and I'm still hankering! The yellow is the best, though the olive and lavendar are hot contestants too. Like Converse shoes, I want them in all colours!
