  27. I love the silhouette family portrait. This would be a great gift for a child's birthday - my mom friends would love it.

    I make a similar, custom birth announcement for all of my friends that is so easy - photo of mom + photo of dad = photo of baby. I like my stuff to look handmade, so I cut out the faces of the photos they provide and basically collage them onto really nice card stock (papersource has the best color selection for the diy'er). I do print all the pertinent details on the inside and I usually print the + signs and = sign on the front of the card. My handwriting is lovely, but I can only do so many different styles of lettering.
